I'm glad that whoever owns this property or is otherwise responsible for it is maintaining it, but this place just doesn't have the post-apocalyptic vibe of the house in Doylestown or 263 Marketplace...

So far my favorites have been the abandoned store and the cemetery.

A cemetery is too cliche now that I'm thinking about it; There were several long-vacant old houses in Doylestown Borough that would make ideal backdrops, but they've all been renovated or torn down and replaced by McMansions...

Na cemetery was good cause it went with the theme of Halloween and zombies. Maybe a little cliché but still pretty good. It’s the best for post apocalyptic is definitely a banded businesses. Nothing says zombie apocalypse like abandon and run down commercial property. A blockbuster would be epic.

Also, this was probably in about 1995; My grandma moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the first time in 1994 and moved in 1999. She bought a different house in the same neighborhood in 2006 and lived there until right before the COVID pandemic (finally selling the place in about June 2020)...

Anyway, this was in about 1995 so I would have been 6; My grandma took me and my cousins on a drive, and we stopped at this old church to look around. The church easily dated back to the 1800s and it had a small cemetery; The church had been abandoned for years and the building was probably a teardown. I remember looking through a busted window or a hole in the wall and seeing that the inside was just trashed and there weren't even pews inside; As I'm remembering this place, I am beginning to think that this church wasn't left to rot by choice and based on its condition it was likely destroyed by fire. The church was not only still standing but 100% recognizable as a church, despite the fact that it was crumbling.

I am walking along a hiking trail with my dog right now as I type this, and fire seems to have been the most likely scenario because small rural churches don't just get abandoned in my experience, and the more I remember, the more I realize that the damage to the inside of the church was indicative of a fire.

Anyway, I would not be diagnosed with Aspergers for another 3 years at that point, but I was an autistic 6-year old; The one thing I immediately noticed about that church back then and still remember today is that the single light fixture over the huge front door still had a lightbulb in it...

I honestly have no idea what happened to that church, but based on my surprisingly vivid memories of that adventure I believe it was an accidental fire, and we happened upon it before the insurance company cut them a check to rebuilt the place. It is likely no more than an hour away from where I live, though since it had a cemetery I'm guessing it was totally rebuilt rather than being torn down and the property being used for something other than a church; I would not surprised if I have driven past it more than a few times over the last last decade and simply not recognized it because it's been rebuilt. If it were never rebuilt and has been rotting since the mid-1990s, then it would make an excellent backdrop for a post-apocalyptic photo shoot in its current condition, but as I said above I believe the place has been rebuilt and doesn't look like it's been through a couple decades of a zombie outbreak...

Nope; My neighbor will probably help me put a new one in after my frame gets replaced. If the dealership damages it during the frame replacement, I'll get them to pay for a new one... :D

I'm not too up on them but any clue if it's the cam or the screen readout alone?

Sorry to hear about your neighbor, much too young. Your heart is in the right place and it's good that you are getting the approval from your neighbor. Everyone grieves differently.

Make sure to check in on your neighbor to see if he needs anything- food, friend to talk to, an activity to turn his mind off. Sometimes people want company and don't want to talk about their loved one.

I'll keep the family in my prayers.
