I forget why I went to the Toyota dealer on that day. I'm pretty sure it was when I was paranoid about rust and wanted my frame looked at...

In Doylestown, people seem to forget that there is a line of motorists forming while they parallel park. Luckily this isn't a one-way street:

It is legal to make a right on red at this intersection. One time I pulled up at this light to make a right turn, in broad daylight, while returning to work after running an errand for my boss. There was NOBODY in or near the crosswalk, and nobody standing outside that door. After looking both ways and seeing that the crosswalk was clear, I pulled forward and glanced one more time to the left.

All of a sudden I hear a thumping on the passenger side of my truck. It was not a panicked banging, but more like a knock at the door. I look to my right and there is a guy up pressed up against my truck, with his face so close that he is fogging up the windshield. At the time, I had no idea where he came from, but he definitely was not there when I initially came to the crosswalk. This guy actually stepped off the curb and was in the street. I just gave him a "What the hell are you doing?" look. He then proceeded to stagger around the back of my truck and walk across the street. I opened my door and asked "Why the hell are you touching my truck?" in a very polite tone of voice. He turns around to look at me and drunkenly says "You pushed me!" He then just keeps walking...



Here's my theory...

This drunk came out of that door while I was looking to the left and saw my truck coming. In his drunken wisdom, he thought it would be a good idea to assert his right of way as a pedestrian and try to race my truck to the crosswalk. He wasn't fast enough and enedd up stepping off the curb right as I pulled up. As for what he said, he was probably so drunk that even he probably didn't know what he was doing or saying:

Again, people like this are why I am notoriously "horny" behind the wheel. The drive of this Tesla Model X was just sitting in front of Printer's Alley, either chatting on the phone or looking at directions on the GPS, and it took a loud blast of the Tacoma's horn to bring them back to reality:

Another annoying thing about Doylestown (and other small historic towns) in the 21st century. Too many vehicles and not enough room! One lane in each direction, and nowhere do go when someone needs to make a left turn during rush hour...



Finally!

 

I had a 2002 Rav4 prior to my tacoma. The thing used to freeze anything and the system never had any service done to it. One thing I noticed about the taco AC is that although it seems weak, think that you also have a giant black plastic dash, vents and door moldings. It attracts a shit ton of heat especially in a lot or driveway with no shade. The interior of my Rav was smaller, and also tan...

Regardless, I usually open all the windows and let the hot air escape for a bit, then when I get to the highway or driving a bit, turn the ac on max. Sometimes you can see the waves of heat come from the open windows. Shit gets hot, and it usually takes 30 mins or so for the dash to cool down. Just my 10¥

This was the day I filled in as a delivery driver at Coach's, NOT back in April! I was coming down with one hell of a fever at this point, and going out drinking with friends immediately after getting off work only exacerbated things...

 

If you are wanting better performance from your heat or A.C., check your cabin filter if you aren't already doing so.

Last winter I was convinced that my heater was going out, until I remembered that I hadn't changed the cabin filter in AGES. I had a mouse nest in there that was blocking almost half the airflow.... it happened so slowly that I didn't notice until it got really bad.

 

How is BOSS brand? Usually I am not a fan of these Chinese brands. is the sound quality good? does it feel "cheap" ? I actually might buy one.

 

Boss is not Chinese, but what isn't made in China these days?

The sound quality is great, and it most certainly does not feel cheap. My only complaint is that older iPods are not compatible with the unit via USB cords.

 

Well, crap. ANOTHER thing for the Amazon wish list.

yeah except Amazon doesn't have this model. Has another one that is significantly cheaper, the Boss BV9384NV for $160, but can't figure out what the difference is yet.

 

I got mine on Crutchfield. Have you tried Crutchfield?
