You will notice that the husband died over 65 years ago (And 6 years before the mine fire started), but the wife doesn't have a birthdate or a date of death; There were several headstones where one spouse was likely not buried due to the town being vacated...

 

The gate had a sign clearly listing the hours the cemetery was open, but at the same time, there was a "NO TRESSPASSING" sign on a tree inside the fence; I was a bit confused...

 

Typically cemetery gates are open during the open hours posted on the sign. If the gates are locked you have no business being in there. From time immemorial kids have trespassed in cemeteries to have keg parties. There are also folks with unusual beliefs who trespass to hold seances or practice Santeria rites. And there are your garden variety scumbag graffiti artists & vandals. Cemeteries have rarely if ever been a priority for law enforcement.
