Funny thing is, my wife purchase her first home (and later the first rental property) at 20 years old for 79k. My first house in 2001 was 157k. Crazy how prices have skyrocketed these past 21 years.

I do see a lot of people that are doing this kind of lifestyle and are truly happy. This is a YouTuber I follow…Dr Hannah

I think all of the Sprinters were diesel; The Ford Transit and Ram Promaster ones were gas...

Yeah, probably better I did that in my truck; Addressing the dent in the crossmember is literally going to cost me nothing, as while the truck is in the body shop Butch is gonna take care of that free of charge.

I liked the color combo on this one better, plus it was actually hooked up to building power so the lights were on and it was a bit more inviting, in addition to having the beige/tan interior that I liked better...

This was one of a couple motorhomes I saw that had a ceiling fan; Well over 20 years ago, when we were living on Whidbey Island, I happened to walk past a large tandem-axle camper trailer in my neighborhood that had the door open. I saw that it had a ceiling fan, but it looked a residential ceiling fan rather than the unit seen below; I turned on the fan and discovered that the blades were reversed for "heat" mode, which sucked air up and warmed the space. I flipped the switch and reversed the blades, but the fan still didn't seem to work worth a damn. Like most modern motorhomes, this one had A/C in the dashboard that ran off the engine, and a separate system for the living area that could be run either off the engine when driving or off of a generator or shore power when parked/camping. The motorhome was plugged into the building so the lights, stereo system, and other low-power accessories (like the ceiling fan) would work, but the A/C was not running; My guess would be that this ceiling fan is designed to work in conjunction with the A/C and circulate cold air, because if that is not the case then it really does not work worth a damn!

looks sweet. My dad had both a ford transit and he currently owns a ram pro master. They are roomy. I am hesitant to buy off on what “lifetime warranty” entails though. Seems very deceiving.

yeah so it seems that value may decrease over time especially if you aren’t the original purchaser. I love how RV companies have evolved over the years and provided such customizable and customer specific requested designs. But after about 10 years all those crazy features need maintenance and troubleshooting. Just like the old saying goes if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Another one of the campers I went inside had an induction cooktop; Utilizing special cookware, only the cookware itself gets hot while the stove does not, making things quite a bit safer than a traditional electric cooktop!

In my humble opinion they add too many features nowadays to any vehicle that really isn’t needed that adds to the crazy cost. For example, why do I need automatic climate control and an entertainment system. Give me a clutch pedal, a window, and a radio and I’m happy.

I share your opinion. Sadly we are a minority and are stuck with what the masses want.

Could it be a coincidence that "Movin' Out" is on the radio?

The 'fine print on those types of warranties is where they get you. It probably has to be serviced by them each year plus expensive hoops to jump through.

I get your joke, but I wanted to try out the stereo and that was the first station I could find that actually got good reception inside the expo center; Billy Joel happened to be on...
