Originally part of a thread called 2010 Tacoma fender repair and door transplant!...

The original thread detailing the metal pipe incident got kinda big, so I figured I'd start a new one detailing the repair of my truck!

 

First here are two pictures that Butch sent me; The first one is of the donor door...

And now for the pictures I took; Right bedside all done!

 

Tomorrow, the damaged door will be removed and disassembled, and the parts will be transferred to the donor door!

 

Pretty sure it doesn’t stop if you are on MAX A/C.
Or in “Sport” mode.

As for emissions, it doesn’t cause anymore . @ABA180 is correct, that’s why it will only stop when the engine warm.

 

I thought this was info about the house, but it was just permits and right-to-know stuff...

 

No idea if they are going to retain the original foundation, or tear up the original basement and dig a new one...

 

Taking the controls of one of these things is definitely on my bucket list!

 

Sometimes, houses are built with electric stoves even if they have gas heat; This is usually based on the preference of the customer, but in some jurisdictions it is against code to have a gas stove in a multifamily residential building (like an apartment or condo) even if that building has gas heat. This house clearly had oil heat, and I'm assuming it was hot water baseboard; They never build new homes with oil heat around here, but there are quite a few newer houses on this street with public gas heat, and my friends who live on the corner have gas forced air heat in their house that was built in the 1830s. Their house did not originally have gas heat, nor did it even have electricity, but when it got electricity it was fitted with forced air heat...

Anyway, I have no idea what they will do for central heat in the new house, but I have a feeling that it will be connected to public gas; Don't know for sure though!
