Have you seen some of the recent dashcam videos of attempted carjackings on highway on-ramps? Both intended victims were in what appeared to be large SUVs, and both decided to simply floor it; Both attempted carjackings in the videos I've seen ended with the carjackers' vehicle getting severely damaged, and the intended victim got away!

IMHO your decision not to carry at the present time is a wise one. There are a lot of losers & punks out there. I understand & agree with your sentiment about defending yourself. Were it only so easy. You shoot someone & your legal fees would be astronomical. Your future plans for a house & new truck would be derailed. Just get yourself a Buck knife.

Personally I wouldn't be rolling my window up in fear of anyone. I know you work out; may be a good idea to step it up. You don't need weights at home although if you have them great; pushups or isometrics are both effective. I'm always doing something. If I'm reading or on TW every few minutes I get up off my ass & exercise. When I'm driving I always have a heavy duty hand grip & I alternate between hands. I whale those things thousands of times until the metal stresses & breaks. Nothing like working out & being in shape to increase your self confidence.

So was that biatch freaking out about your zombies sticker?:rofl::rofl:

I'll show you a picture of what triggered her in PM if you change your privacy settings; Sharing it publicly would likely result in a 30-day ban...

That's OK my man. I just wanted to provide you with a laugh. Doesn't matter what triggered her. There are a lot of aholes out there & they're propagating as we speak. Can't let them drag you down to their level. Try & go with the flow.

It was in October 2020, the aggressor was a college age girl in a Subaru, and I'm a Navy veteran's son driving a pickup truck; You can probably figure out what was on the back of my truck that triggered her... :D

On another note, maybe 6 or 7 years ago, some bastard stole a larger version of this magnet off my truck... :luvya:

I certainly thought so! My best friend has Aspergers as well, and someone stole one of these magnets off of his mom's Lexus!

Yes, legally; I'm pro-2A but I believe that obtaining a firearm should be done within the confines of the law! You can't even buy a shotgun or rifle for home defense?

Yes, but are you allowed to own one? I don't want you to end up in prison...

I am no expert on gun laws in the state of Alaska, but because hunting is such a vital part of life in many parts of that state, people convicted of certain felonies are allowed to own long guns for purposes of hunting and home defense; Obviously, I don't think they'll let somebody convicted of murder or armed robbery own a gun, but I believe people convicted of nonviolent felonies are allowed to own shotguns and rifles. They are not allowed to get carry permits or even own a handgun, and I agree that people convicted of "lesser" felonies should be allowed to own guns for purposes of hunting and home defense.

How can one end up sentenced to prison without getting a felony? I though prison was only felonies, and large county jails were for the lesser crimes...? :notsure:

I'm talking in general; I seriously thought prison was for felony convictions with sentences of a year or more, while jail was for the lesser shit...?
