So I need to read this whole thread for sure sometime. In the meantime, any good summaries on stereo options in these 2nd gens? Everyone just does a dash kit because the stock radio is so big? But with all that space, a big screen could fit, right?

Yeah, but in my truck with the backup camera, Bluetooth, and rear-mount USB port, it's quite cramped back there...

I’m mostly wondering if a Pioneer 6600 could be stuffed. It’s not super deep and has a big screen. Or maybe even something bigger. But they are all built to float. And that wouldn’t look right to me I think. Something flush which fills the space seems ideal.

The house? Keep in mind those pictures are from the side; It's a deceptively large Cape Cod...

I searched the internet and some pictures of the types of houses I wouldn't mine owning; I've had this obsession with owning a rancher since at least 2009!

The first one looks more mid century modern.

That one room will have limited natural light. The layout looks "ew" to me

I searched "Midcentury Modern Ranch House" and that was one of the first images to pop up in the search results; Appears to be a single-story, thus technically making it a rancher...? :notsure:

Ranch is kind of a blanket term; single story home. Mid-century is more of a style. The way the windows are in the first one, as well as the open breeze way make it more mid-century. I wonder if there are internal pics of that house anywhere.

Give Crutchfield a call, their customer service people really know what they are doing -- unusual in our modern world, prices are fair too.
