    @JaCado

I am going to be driving to their house to check up on Helen at least once this weekend, so I'll get some pics then. It's a 2005, unfortunately automatic but in really good shape, and it's white with a red interior and custom carbon fiber-style stripes. It has two sets of wheels and tires as well, one for summer and one for winter (the summer wheels are on it and that picture and will be on it in the pictures I get this weekend).

I wouldn’t take a Corvette over a Ridgeline. Not unless I could sell the Corvette for more than a new Ridgeline. I think a lady in her 80’s is much better off with a Ridgeline.

Call me old, but my go fast days are over.
I’ll take reliable and less maintenance over fast.

Thanks for the compliment, but it's not a Z06, and it's automatic...

The other possibility was selling both the Corvette and the Ridgeline, both of which are worth decent money in today's market, and paying cash for a new CR-V or RAV4 with AWD...

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Sorry to hear of your friend's passing, Charlie. And thanks for posting up about it. I hope it relieves some of the stresses you are undoubtedly going through. Also, know that sharing the experience helps people like me that are going through whatever current crisis the hour, day, week, or month brings at us. It helps bring a big slap back to reality that I'd bet most of us could use.

    I don’t know, I’ve driven a 2021 Ridgeline AWD (a lot)
    It’s actually a good truck.

Yeah, I called it a truck.

Anything with working A/C, a decent sound system, and no monthly payments is fine by me...

Jim only paid $24K to buy out the lease in 2020, and in late 2021 or early 2022 I saw another 2017 Ridgeline with 88K miles for well over $30K at the Toyota dealer that replaced my frame; Jim's has less than 40K, so you do the math there...

Even something that purists don't consider a "real truck" is worth a metric shit-ton of money in today's market!

Corvette might be worth $25K...? It's a beautiful car, but it's an automatic transmission and it's not particularly special as far as Vettes go. It also needs a bit of minor work. Jim told me in our last conversation before he died that it needs a power window regulator, and something on the engine is leaking.

And again, this shows you just how sudden an unexpected Jim's death was. The car was supposed to go into the shop for like two grand in repairs to the aforementioned items.

It's safe to drive, just has problems typical of a vehicle that's almost twenty years old...

Progress on new house down the street from Jim and Helen's; I took these pictures moments after leaving their house, the very last time I saw Jim alive... :(

    I like it.

What’s the brick building behind it?
    I see a window AC?
