The jellyfish/mushroom/sperm-looking thing again...

 

Like I said, there's a decent-sized wind farm in Centralia, or more than likely just outside of Centralia; I would like to say once again that these were taken on September 17th, two days before we went to Massachusetts, and I took the wind turbine pictures in Massachusetts on September 20th...

 

The problem with my thermostat was manifesting itself as long ago as late June-early July of this year, but I didn't realize it. Symptoms included the level of coolant in the overflow tank fluctuating greatly while showing no signs whatsoever of a leak, the overflow tank "boiling over" and popping the lid, and the temperature gauge going close to the red area for a few seconds when the truck was restarted after having been running recently. It did this a few times between early July and mid-September of this year, but it never actually overheated. The gas gauge would read inaccurately at times as well, so I thought that it was an issue with the gauge cluster. I had no issues with overheating while driving to the van show that morning, driving up to Centralia after the van show, driving around Centralia, and driving from Centralia to Hamburg on my way home. I stopped at a Wawa somewhere in the Hamburg area to use the bathroom and top off the tank, and it was when I started the truck after refueling that it first showed signs of overheating. It rapidly went back down again, so I didn't worry about it. After putting gas in the truck, I parked in front of the Wawa, and went inside to use the bathroom and get some food.

It may have gone into the red again on the second startup at the Wawa in Hamburg, but I don't remember. If it did do this, it quickly went back to normal temperature. It was at the Wawa in Hatfield where it legitimately started overheat and didn't cool down a few seconds after startup.

On another note, I refer to my Tacoma as the "Z.O.R.T. Truck" this time of the year. It is an abbreviation of "Zombie Outbreak Response Team Truck", and I first referred to it by this moniker last year. My friend Gabe, a girl I went to middle school with who lives in the Pacific Northwest, loved it. The name stuck. Just for a point of reference, Gabe is the same one who convinced me to get the "I love to eat pussy" patch last year...

However, Zort also sounds like something a certain lab mouse would say!
