I went to middle school with Shane when my dad was stationed on Whidbey Island; Shane still lives in Washington, but is an OTR truck driver whose job often takes him to Pennsylvania.

Never thought of that! I just had her put on her seatbelt so it would like she's driving. The truck was idling with the radio and heat on (it was actually working until I got home), but in park; Colleen does have a driver's license and a car though!

Also, if Colleen really needed to borrow my truck, I would let her. I have only friend from my "Inner Circle" of Aspie friends who I would not trust to drive my truck.

Why?

Last March, I meeting him in a parking lot to pick up the birthday cake he'd back for me. I literally watched him hit a parked Chevy Tahoe while parking his own car, and he flat out denied that he had done this even though I saw him do hit the SUV and heard the sound of the impact. The only reason I didn't make him leave his contact info is because there didn't appear to be any damage to his the Tahoe. This wasn't some 2-decade old shitbox either, it was like a brand new $70,000 Tahoe. One time is no big deal, but over a decade ago, I was actually in the car with him when he hit the car next to him while backing out. I saw the car move, and he insisted he did not hit the car; I have no idea why he lies, but as long as he (A) doesn't cause any damage, and more importantly (B) doesn't hit my truck it isn't my problem.

Almost five years ago, he was backing his Altima out of my other friend's driveway. He almost snagged his front bumper on my rear bumper and would have torn his front bumper off if I hadn't screamed at him to stop.

There are a few people I’d rather not let drive my truck.
I guess in a emergency, I wouldn’t be too picky.

I keep threatening to let my brother drive my truck, because he can’t stand for stuff be “wrong” on a vehicle. I told him, the last time I seen him, he need to “borrow” my truck and fix all the stuff that needs fixin’ for me.

At the very least before u start ur truck this morning open the rad cap and see where the coolant level is. Bet it's low. Top it off, same with reserve tank, fill to cold line.

 

Reserve tank good, rad cap a little low, but the coolant was flushed and replaced after it overheated last month and it's also got a brand new thermostat and heater bypass pipe.

Having a misbehaving heater still doesn't bother me that much, and in my opinion no heat at all would be better than overheating. Once again, at least the heater seems to work while the truck is moving...
