I have always wanted to try some video editing.
There was a time when I was pretty heavy into PCs and programming.
But then life hit and I had to stop playing around on a computer’s all day and get a job.
Let’s just 256mb of memory on a graphics card was “a lot” back when I was into it.

For 500ish bucks you can get a light Windows laptop with decent battery. Definitely recommend that over a tower.

Have you ever tried installing iTunes on a chromebook? I have. 10/10 do not recommend.

I have an iPhone and an iPad.
And I have NEVER used iTunes.

I am too cheap to buy music. I just change the station or press the scan button.
I’m still rockin’ a handed down iPhone 8 I got from my niece, with a “significantly degraded battery” according to the battery health report.

I can’t seem to wrap my head around the idea that a cell phone cost about $1k now?

Back in 2012, I found a 1994 Chevy S-10 Blazer with 130K miles, working 4WD, and working A/C for $600. It looked like hell but it was mechanically sound.

The Chromebook works just fine as a web browser, that is all I use it for. It is reliable and cheap.

You can replace an iPhone battery for like 50 bucks. You’d be amazed how much it helps.

Phone prices are ridiculous. Buy once cry once. I try to get 4-5 years out of mine.

You know what’s also reliable and cheap? Windows XP!

But yeah it’s fine for browsing the web. Just not much more.

I prefer it the other way around “Off, not On” :D

If you are still looking for a mistress to wear nothing but the apron.
I’ll identify as a female for a day and wear nothing but the apron if the price is right.
You’ll make your money back easily posting them to TW, I bet they’d pay big money just to have the pictures removed. Of course, you’d have to let the Mods in on a cut.

Vista was the death of “Windows”.
It was down hill after that.

Vista was something for sure. Not sure what they were thinking there.

One time at Puck right before we opened, one of the bartenders put on this really nice red apron that belonged to my boss (the general manager). He only had a shirt on, and no underwear or pants. Hilarity ensued and we were laughing harder than we had laughed in a very long time. My friend and former boss is now happily married to that particular bartender.

The only thing I liked about Vista was that it had the old-style Windows Movie Maker. Beginning with Windows XP, they switched to a new form of Movie Maker that I don't like as much...

I forgot all about movie maker.
I remember making a few videos of “stuff we did” on out street bikes using Movie maker.
That’s about the time my mother married a Highway Patrolman who told us we probably shouldn’t make video with incriminating evidence on it.

Yeah. We were young and dumb.

He was a cool guy. He was always watching out for us.

    No, no I do not.

What exactly do they put in the water down in Tennessee that we can tie to these ridiculous statements?

My water back home is known for its irrationally high ratio of dead bodies. Or so they say.

I never filmed anything incriminating, but one time in like 2013 I got a nastygram from a guitarist's manager about posting videos of him on YouTube...

This guy named JD Malone used to be the open mic host at Puck when I first started hanging out there. He also a singer and guitar player, and a great one at that. At the end of every open mic, there would be a jam session. There would probably three or four guitarists (two of whom were also doing vocals), a bass player, and a drummer. These were really good musicians, and with their permission, I would make videos of them playing and post them on YouTube. Everyone loved it.

Then, JD got a record deal. Okay. Great!

By this time, the videos I'd made of JD jamming with my friends and the other musicians were a couple years old. Out of the blue, I got a messaged from some guy named Dean claiming to be either JD's manager or a record executive; I thought it was a scam of some sort at first, but I was cordial and said I wanted to confirm his info with JD before I deleted my beloved videos. I was (and still am) friends with JD Malone on Facebook. He is a genuinely nice guy. JD confirmed that this Dean feller did in fact represent him, apologized that I ended in the middle of the situation, and said that I should just remove the videos.

I removed the videos and nothing became of it. However, Dean wanted JD to change his image and JD wasn't okay with that. JD ended up cancelling the contract and not going through with the deal. JD felt so bad about me getting hassled by Dean that I got at least three free CDs and a bunch of other merchandise including a T-shirt.

Well, I spent the better part of my life less than 5 miles from a government plant that was used to to separate U-235 from U238 to build the atomic bombs in WW2. So who really knows what is in the water.

I blame it on the government.

It definitely wasn’t any of the “substances” I may, or may not, have willing introduce into my body.
It definitely wasn’t any of those, it was all the “gobermints” fault.

I have a rebuttal to your last statement. But it is dangerously close to being political, so I refrain :anonymous:
