Where would you put the stripper poles? Also, my friend Michelle is not only going to pose with my truck, but also use her salvage yard as a backdrop for the photo shoot! And then Anna is going to dress up as a zombie mental patient next year, bloodstained straitjacket and all; I've just got to obtain a straitjacket first!

You and me think a lot alike.
But maybe because I’ve had to maintain and rebuild a few decks.

    Me too.
    I HATE drums brakes.
I’ve fought them all after noon.
Mostly because my dumb ass didn’t pay attention and put the wrong shoe on the wrong side the first time. Thankfully, I caught it before doing the other side.

    Now I don't get it...

How did the conversation turn to drum brakes?

I wanted to convert my truck to rear disc, but it's really cost affective...

My friend Michelle has agreed to be my next Zombie Huntress! Even better, she owns a salvage yard and is going to let me drive the Tacoma in there and use it as a backdrop! This picture is from March 2015 and was taken at her salvage yard shortly after my 26th birthday...

Michelle's junkyard is almost 30 miles from my house, and I do not feel comfortable driving the truck all the way down there with a wounded engine, and potentially having an under-the-hood reenactment of what happened at Chernobyl in 1986. Michelle does not have any 2nd Gen Tacomas with the 2TR-FE in the yard, so I'm not going to risk it; Michelle is aware of this and has agreed to do the shoot on the weekend before Halloween. I am driving the truck 2 miles to the movie theater this Saturday night when I got to see Halloween Ends with my friends, just so I can do another photo shoot with Colleen, and then 2 miles my back; I am skipping out on the big Halloween-themed car show in Levittown because, again, I do not want to risk nuking my engine and turning a $5,000 problem into an $8,000 problem. I will be moving the truck into the culdesac this Sunday when my cousin comes, so she can put on the Zombie Huntress outfit and pose with the truck (less than a tenth of a mile), and then I will driving roughly ten miles to Thompson Toyota so the head gasket replacement can begin!

Excellent, it's a wise idea in the long haul. Not just moneywise, it's zero maintainence. I FINALLY talked my friend into redoing his deck that way.

Where would I put the stripper poles? All over the place!!

Love that idea..maybe try to get another Anna shoot done before then too

I am amazed at how many women have agreed to pose with truck in my Zombie Huntress outfit! 7 so far; 6 lady friends and 1 random hot girl I met at a cruise night, ranging from 24 years old to 62 years of age, plus 2 guys. Those two guys were Gwyn's boyfriend who posed with her, and my supervisor who posed with Tia. My cousin will be posing with the truck this Sunday, and if I have my truck back by the end of next week, Michelle will be posing with it at her junkyard the weekend before Halloween. If mine and Michelle's schedules do not align, or the dealer has to keep my truck longer than planned, I am willing to leave the zombie apocalypse stuff on the truck until the first weekend in November so Michelle can pose with it. That will be nine women, and two men, who have posed with my truck!

Anna is done with photo shoots for this year, but even her mother is amazed that I was able to convince her to put the painting respirator all the way on (as opposed to hanging from her neck); Anna has a lifelong dislike of wearing masks (for COVID or any other reasons), and of anything touching her face, due to autism-related sensory issues. She says that she put the respirator on just for me; I am even more amazed that she is going to let me put her in a bloodstained straitjacket next year, but she said she'd rather wear a straitjacket than a mask. I am not spending money on two different straitjacket costumes, or the amount of fake blood required to "zombify" two different straitjacket costumes, so Anna will be the escaped mental patient who became a zombie and Colleen will just be a regular zombie. I also forgot to mention that my friend's 40-year old wife is willing to put on the outfit for a photo shoot, and he is a bodybuilder and a former Marine (who looks like a total badass), and he agreed to participate too. Unfortunately, I don't know if our schedules will sync up to make this happen. If it does end up happening, then that will be a total of thirteen people (10 women, 3 men) who haved posed with my truck this October!

Our house did not come with a back deck, and my parents went with Trex; I believe they paid about thirty grand...?

Worth it. I want to say minimum 20 years it lasts? Plus no staining or painting the stuff.

My pool deck is Trex. Built in 2012. Slight sun fading I'm sure but that's it. Especially important since it's exposed to water more than a regular deck and getting out of the pool barefoot would especially suck if splinters were possible
