I'm thinking that wet roads, excessive speed, and/or inattentive driving all played a roll. Look at the closeup of the bedroom. This house is probably 75+ years old and has solid stone walls, and this truck obliterated it!

 

If it weren't for the radon, these are actually decent houses in my opinion. Unfortunately, due to over a decade of neglect, the basements at least a few of them have flooded; I have no idea if this was one of the houses with a flooding basement, but it's neither here nor there at this point because it would have been destined for the wrecking ball even if a truck hadn't crashed into it!

 

For when they were likely built, these houses are far too nice to have been built by the government to house the military and their families. The military housing my parents and I lived in out in Northern California was shit compared to this place, especially the 2-bedroom WWII-era shitbox that we lived in from about September 1996 to March 1997...

If you look closely, you can just barely see the refrigerant line for the central A/C running up the side of the house in these pictures. This is a common setup in older houses that weren't built with A/C because the indoor unit or commonly installed in the attic. This is a more efficient layout because cold air falls...

 

You can actually see the air-conditioner in this picture; I believe that these houses all have oil baseboard heat with separate cool-only central A/C, though it is entirely possible that in the interest of saving money on upkeep, the government opted to rip out the hot water heating systems that these places came with and installed heat pumps...

On my way home after taking pictures of the condemned house, I encountered this asshole; I was at the front of the line waiting at a red light, and this person decided not only that they wanted to go straight instead of left, but that flipping on their turn signal granted them automatic right of way. That fact that it's a Tesla with New Jersey plates tells you everything that you need to know!

 

Many years ago I rented a U-Haul and was in a completely unfamiliar area. Found myself like that person in the left lane at a red light and realizing we needed to make a right turn, put the window down and yelled to the car next to us asking if we could turn right in front of them when the light changed green.

 

None of that would fit my truck? @Gwyns04's son might be interested for his truck...
