I snuck past those Jersey barriers to get a closer look at the air-conditioner today; I was curious to see if it was a heat pump or just a straight-cool A/C unit...



Anyway, the reason they haven't moved the truck yet is likely because the whole house will collapse if they just winch it out.

This is the direction the truck was coming from, and you can one of the other long-vacant government-owned houses, which is undamaged and structurally sound but likely still destined for the wrecking ball...

Some people may remember last winter when I tried to do look at a base model Ford Maverick at this dealership (dealers are closed on Sunday in Pennsylvania), and was turned away by local cops who were investigating a recent string of vehicle thefts from the dealership; I used to go to this dealer on Sundays all the time, but I was told by police that nobody was allowed on the property on Sundays, and now these signs are up...



Even back in 2012-2013, the lot was blockaded on Sundays and holidays days to keep people from driving onto the property, but it was only in the last year that they really cracked down...

 

Once again, the interior of the home seemed to be in pretty decent shape before the truck crashed into it...
