    I took a trip to L.A. once.
    I hated the traffic.

Evidently, the folks out there are amused by my East Tn accent.
Numerous times, daily. I was asked, “Where are you from?”.

What is traffic in East TN, a tractor holding up a line of 3 cars on the backroads? :D

If we see more than 3 squirrels and 1 opossum. We got in to heavy traffic.

Sometime around 2018 or '19 some grocery stores around here started giving a few cents discount off your grocery bill for each re-usable bag you brought. I was happy to participate and even sewed a couple of my own custom bags. Unsure of my sewing skills, I put a 50lb dumbbell in each bag and walked around the basement for a few minutes to determine they were of satisfactory robustness.
Then with the pandemic in 2020 they banned re-usable bags and I haven't used them since. I don't know if they're re-allowed or not, but I kinda miss using my own bags.

A bit hard to tell in these pictures, but there are two non-operational color-changing light sets on the top of the left bed panel and the top of the tailgate. Both of these sets are from like 2017 or 2018, so they were nearing the end of their service lives, but the one on the bed side just fell apart within a day of being put on the truck (as in the wiring was torn out of the battery pack). The on the tailgate quit working within a day of installation for reasons unknown...

These color changing light sets are the reason I drove 13 miles to a Home Depot on the outskirts of Philly...

On the right are the heavy-duty and damn near indestructible 50-bulb color-changing sets that run on D batteries, and on the left are the 20-bulb sets that do not blink or change colors...

The 20-light sets are proving themselves to be obnoxious, because they run on AAs instead of Ds, and a couple of sets have needed new batteries since I put the lights on the truck. These are not the clasp/unclasp sets either, and require the removal of 4 screws to access the batteries...

Yeah, but the rubber seals degrade and the boxes fall apart as they get jostled around, which ultimately results in water getting into the boxes and shorting out the lights. Usually, they work again after drying out for a day or so...

Maybe put them in ziplocbags, tape them up so the hole faces down?

Much as my wife dislikes rap, a couple of times she's asked me for a good bass tune in the truck when her back is acting up.

I can live with it there I guess. Really sucks at the grocery store. I can't carry more than 2 bags at a time from the driveway if they're paper.

Part of me almost thinks you should have stopped ahead and stood outside your truck, then told the cop he almost slammed into you. Though with the lights it might not have been the wise move.

He (or she) didn't almost slam into me. If had stopped at the yellow, I would have been rear-ended and would probably be shopping for a new truck right about now...
