Like I said before, my favorite of all your trucks...

Stick shift Tacos are surprisingly hard to find on dealer lots around here...

They definitely didn't have any on the lot when my dad and I bought mine back in 2009. The two we looked at were the silver RC that I still have, and a red access cab SR5...

I've posted threads about this before, but now it's official...

    I really want fog lights!

Included is a fairly recent picture of my truck...

    IMG_1208.jpg
The easiest part is choosing a brand. What brands do my fellow TW members prefer?

I met a guy earlier this year who owned a 2005 that was virtually identical to mine. His truck had aftermarket fog lights, but the previous owner installed them and he no idea how.

Obviously, the fog lights would go in the little inserts on each side of the bumper. Since I have a base model, I have several "blanks" to the left of the steering wheel where accessories would go in higher-end models.

My neighbor and I installed a backup camera in this truck back in September 2016, which took only a couple hours. The backup camera is patched into the factory "reverse wire" and no modifications to the electrical system were required. Is there any way to just run a wire directly from a switch in the cab to the lights? Or, is a bit more electrical work required?

How much $$$ am I looking at for all parts?

Of I remember right, @CaliRaisedLed has a conversion set for running pods in the fog light location.
If you want street legal (OE), I have a pair that are sitting on my toolbox. Not perfect, but usable. You would need to get/build a wire harness. As far as switches go, you can get CH4x4 or other ebay switch that has the symbol you want. Or you can wire the relay without a switch and use an add-a-fuse to have the fogs turn on whenever you turn on your lights (parking or headlights).

I also have an OEM set if you want to go that route.

Do you have the body-color bumper? Would this be just the lights or the plastic rings that go around them too? The reason I ask is because I have a base model with black bumpers.

I added intermittent wipers quite easily, so will adding OEM fog lights be just as easy?

The oem fogs are just a pod with post that snap into the bumper shell. You would need to ensure the base bumper is able to accept them and would have to wire yourself or cut a harness out of a junk yard.

    Pay shipping.
Switches go between $4 (shipped from china) to $20 (CH4x4).
    Add-a-fuse $2 (ebay)-$14 (NAPA).
Weatherproof relay $7 (ebay no name)- $20 (ebay name brand).
Wire $depends on how much you get and where.

So I'm looking at less than $100? Not bad! I'll pop out the inserts tomorrow and see what I'm dealing with. If they will fit, I will definitely take you up on that offer!

Of course you can hunt down factory wiring and switch, look for guys that are parting out trucks or find one in a junk yard. Would be a cleaner install but probably cost more.
Pods in the fog location will give more light, but you will be more likely to be stopped if you use them on the road when not used in conjunction with high beams. Factory fogs are easier on the eyes of oncoming drivers and are used so often on the roads that police are more likely to let it slide even if they are regulated to be used in conjunction with high beams only (atleast here in OR).

I added oem fogs to my 4cyl. I bought an oem switch off ebay. I ran a relay, to avoid that much power going through the switch. Tapped headlight fuse for relay, so fogs only work with low beams(same as oem). If I were to do it again I would tap parking lights for extra flexibility while still retaining lights auto shut off feature.
