I don't know if anybody knew this, but Regal is bankrupt. There were two Regal movie theaters just a few miles from each other on Route 611 in Central Bucks. The Warrington location was heavily renovated during the height of the COVID pandemic, and now features power reclining seats, a huge arcade, and a bar among other things. The decision was made in January 2023 to shutter the Regal Barn Plaza in Doylestown, and they finally did it about two weeks ago...

 

There actually used to be a barn here, and when they built the theater, they kept the silos and modeled the architecture of the main building after that barn...

 

Even when my parents and I lived closer to this theater than the Warrington one from 2005 to 2016, my friends and I went to the one in Warrington more often...

The shock towers were prone to rusting out in them much like the old Fox bodies.

Hers had some transmission issues right after she bought it..bucking, CEL, etc. Brought back to the place she got it under warranty and they ended up giving it back claiming no issue found. Not 3 months after needed a new torque converter. The transmission went a year later. I know it puked the timing belt and water pump at some point too. Ugh.

I knew it. I bet you can’t guess where their headquarters is
They blew tons of money on a “new” headquarters by the river.
Can’t imagine why they’d go broke. They’ve made some pretty big financial decisions that sure didn’t help them any.

 

Now they're gonna be working out of a van down by the river...
