I've never driven a C-HR before, and I kinda like it!

The C-HR comes with blue interior trim, regardless of the exterior color... o_O

I got an Uber XL once with a few friends. The dude was driving a CHR. That thing is not XL!

    Does look nice via pics.

I am seriously having a hard time comprehending why they need to keep the truck; I was told at 10:28am that the thermostat was replaced, but that they wanted to keep it to make sure the leak is fixed. I was given a loaner and drove to work; I just texted the service manager directly and was told at almost 4pm that they are still testing. As long as I get the truck back before I go to Maryland with Amanda on Saturday, I will be happy, but this is starting to annoy me...

Depends, I’m not sure on the 2TR?
If RTV is used instead of a gaskets, then I can understand.
You’ve already had one leak, I’d want to make sure the RTV is fully cured before it was started and left the shop. Maybe they are just being really thorough this time. You paid a lot money, and it should be right.

    I wouldn’t worry about it.
I’d only worry if you got it back and it still had a leak.
Which I think is highly unlikely.

    It’s a gasket maker/sealant.
You squeeze it out of a tube like toothpaste.
It usually takes anywhere from 1hr to 24hrs to cure.
It just depends on the type you use.

They replaced the entire head gasket...? Would that be used in addition to the new gasket?

That has to be a record. What’s it been 5 days?
I was starting to think, I was going to have to find someone else to “pick on”.

    In some places yes.
I’d have to look up the service info on the 2TR, not sure if it’s called for when doing just a thermostat.

They replaced the entire thermostat, which included a gasket; I'm honestly shocked they ate the cost of a whole thermostat, as that was replaced by my mechanic in September 2022 before we knew the head gasket was toast.

I am not surprised at all.
Some thermostats have a gasket that is the seal.
Plus, I never like to reuse a thermostat. It’s cheap enough, you just replace it.

Free miles on a loaner if you don’t have your truck back. That wouldn’t upset me.

But I’m sure you’ll get it back in time.

The loaner doesn't have an EZ Pass, and I have an EZ Pass, but you get fined if you go through the toll in a vehicle that isn't on your account; I hate actually stopping to pay cash at the toll booth!

Interesting part to pick on. I was more expecting a “wow, you have friends?” comment :D

I am always around. Until I’m not. If I’m not, you’ll have to send out a search party. You can use pizza as your bait

Have you ever actually been fined for this?

    But two fun facts:
    1. You can add a rental plate to your ez-pass account.
    2. You can add your ez-pass tag to a charge after the fact (to discount it). Roll through one of the e charge tolls without your transponder? Wait until you get a bill in the mail. Add the vehicle license plate to your account online. Then call the toll authority and ask for them to discount based upon your transponder ID. At least in PA this should work.
