Now let’s stop spamming Charlie’s thread. (I definitely take some of the blame there)

What could be fishy? I just think they want to make sure there's nothing else for them to be on the hook for; I'm just annoyed because this went from "you can wait for it" to "we need it for the day", and then to "we need to keep it overnight"...

Supposedly; I don't really give a shit what they do to it as long as I don't have to pay for it...

    Probably not a cop.

But, typically LEO’s without jurisdiction are permitted to make traffic stops when an egregious act has been committed. Then they’ll radio to the local jurisdiction for support.

Considering that he was speeding and almost crashed into me because had to be first, I'd say he committed the egregious act whether he was a cop or not, and shit like that is why I have a dashcam!

At least y'all have the option of paying at the booth. MA took that one away a few years ago, so you're forced to either get the EZ or get a bill in the mail. That said at least the EZ transponder is free of charge.

I wouldn't bother but a few times a year I do have to drive to a meeting for my second job and that does have tolls..which I could go around but that requires going through the heart of Boston in rush hour.

I'm getting the truck back tomorrow, likely in the morning. They just want to make absolutely sure there are no more leaks...

I doubt there was any RTV unless is was specifically called for, "possibly" could be some type of sealant on the head bolts.

I checked. And you are correct, it is just a gasket on the 2TR.

I’d say I’ve had my plates ran more than 10x.
Never had any real issues. The Game Warden definitely ran them, and requested to search my truck.
He never did though. By the end of that summer we’re actually pretty good friends.

MD is similar. Mostly gotten rid of toll booths. There might be a few left. Baltimore tunnel still has the physical booth, I forget if they accept cash though.

The NJ turnpike still accepts cash. I think the Del Memorial Bridge also still accepts cash.

I honestly think that my truck got put on the back burner due it being a warranty job instead of a paying job, and somebody doesn't want to admit it...

Thompson has been good to me and I don't have a beef with them, so I don't give a shit as long as I get the truck back tomorrow as promised...

Once you accepted that loaner car, the chances of that actually happening increased. Drive that car, don’t call them, let them call you:thumbsup:

COVID caused that; I'm glad because we are no longer paying people to literally sit on their ass!

If they don’t have it back to you by tomorrow, then I know a car that would be going on a trip. Use their car for wear and tear, not yours.

As long as I get it back before Maryland, I don't care. If it's Friday afternoon and I don't have my truck, then we are going to have a problem.

The loaner (like most newer Toyotas) has a feature that I really hate)...

The stereo locks out the ability to use the iPod through the touch screen at speeds above 5 MPH, which is really annoying when you are hurtling down the highway at 65 MPH+ and would rather listen Toby Keith instead of Bruce Springsteen. Fuck that nanny state shit; I can safely change songs while the vehicle is moving!

As stated above, I also really don't feel like putting a loaner vehicle on the family EZ Pass account for the weekend, nor do I feel like driving into Jersey in a vehicle that isn't mine, especially this one. Driving into Jersey in a bright red hatchback crossover thing will make a target for the nazis...I mean State Troopers; I am so done with the NJ State Police that it ain't even funny... :luvya:

Could be that or just being thorough, if a simple job like that needs redoing perhaps they're trying to take good care of you..
