Now that you gave me the idea, I might actually do that! Less than a thousand miles until my truck needs an oil change!

 

I generally get three to four years out of a camera before things start wearing out that make it not worth fixing. Luckily, I always get the "shit happens" warranty. I broke the SD card door on my previous camera, and it was still under warranty; Cardinal Camera, where I have gotten all but one of my Nikon SLRs, deemed it to be more cost effective to give me a new camera under said warranty. It was not a brand new camera, but rather a gently-used preowned one that they grabbed off the shelf; I paid like $160 for a new warranty, and essentially got an $800 camera for free. The camera that my current camera replaced (the one with the busted SD door), was purchased new in 2019 with my tax refund, and it was the first camera I bought entirely with my own money.

My parents are constantly on my ass about saving money and being independent, and but they believe that photography is a good hobby, so they have been happily indulging it (financing it) since 2008 (with the exception of the Nikon that I bought myself in 2019). Right now, my camera is just fine, but my Tamron 18-200 lens is currently on its way out. These are not the highest quality lenses you can buy, but they are affordable and reasonably durable; I generally get two or three car show seasons out of them before they start failing. My lens is under warranty as well, separate from the Nikon camera body, and I will probably be seeing about exchanging it before the end of the month.

If I were to win the loterry or somehow strike it rich, this is the house I would have built; I don't care what anybody says! It literally meets all of my needs. As far architecture and engineering, it has 2x6 exterior wall framing and 9-foot ceilings, and that's just for starters!

Obviously, it's a brick rancher! I love single-story homes, as does @Stitchgirl90 . This may not be considered a traditional ranch/rambler, but it is single story and all-brick...

 

It has not two or three, but FOUR garage spaces, plus it has a finished walkout basement that is basically a 2-bedroom apartment. If I hit the lottery, I would obviously pay cash since mortgage rates are so obscene right now. My best friend Mike would live in the basement and pay rent to offset property taxes. In addition to myself and Amanda, I would be willing to take on Mike and one other friend as roommates to offset the costs that would come with owning and maintaining a house of this size, even it was fully paid off...

 

The kitchen is big enough to accomodate a double wall oven, built-in microwave, and a cooktop with five or six burners! With regards to the efficiency of the plumbing layout, the master bath and guest bathrooms are spread out, but the laundry room and powder room are at least clustered together with the kitchen...

 

The basement by itself is big enough to be a house!

 

I have looked at this plan before, but I forgot that it actually had a second floor bonus room; I wouldn't actually need this space, but I still LOVE this house!
