    I mean…

If the speed limit is clearly posted as 25, you are not in the right here. Unless you were targeted in a long line of cars or something

    Got one today; $202.50 :luvya:

Last time was on Main Street in Doylestown, heading South towards Route 611, 43 MPH in a 25 zone...

Yeah, but over $200? Who do I look like? Elon Musk? Maybe I look like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, or Jeff Bezos? I'm flattered if somebody thinks that I look like a multibillionaire, but I ain't rich. There's gotta be a happy medium between teaching somebody a lesson and totally screwing them financially...

Besides, the cop told me to plead not guilty and he'd see it to it that I got no points. It's 4 points if I plead guilty and just pay; I have NEVER had points on my license.

You might get lucky and have them drop it with cost paid to the court.
    Or go to driving school?

At least try to get it dropped to a 2 point violation.
That way the points only stays on your record for 1 year. (I did my PA research)

So do I, and also my driving record is totally clean except for a minor at-fault accident in June 2021; I think I've got that on my side...

I’d be happy to pay $202.50 to keep my record clean.
Just ask @Taco critter how much a clean record is worth.

But a 25 mph zone is BS.
I guess it depends on the road and circumstances.

Fairly busy street with houses on either side, and a school, but it is summer so there's no school. The cop told me that "residents have complained", but I'm not totally buying that story, because it was first reported as a speed trap in July 2007. It's a revenue-generation zone, and I was polite, so I was given what appears to be an easy way out.

    That’s good.

As of now, I’ve only had one ticket.
Failure to provide proof of insurance.
AFAIK, it was dropped after I faxed a copy of insurance to the county clerk.
I probably should check to see if it’s on my record?

No one ever contacted me after.
And I never got anything in the mail saying I still owed for the ticket?

I became obsessed with the Titanic in 1997, when the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio came out; I was 8 years old and obviously too young to see the movie, but my parents indulged my interest and bought me a bunch of books about the Titanic for Christmas that year, including this one...

I finally did see the movie on the early 2000s, when I was maybe 14 or 15; I have seen it at least three times, and I think it's a good movie. My interest in the Titanic between about 2005 and 2019 has varied greatly.

A few years ago, I began reminiscing about this book, but could not find it, and ended up buying a used copy on Amazon. After the Titan submersible implosion in June, I developed a renewed interest in the Titanic. My parents were cleaning out the basement, and when my dad found my book, he remembered what me me mentioning a renewed interest in the famous ocean liner and brought it up for me; I have no idea if this is the used one that I bought used on Amazon a few years ago, or the brand new one that my parents bought me for Christmas in 1997. I am 34 years old, and I still love flipping through this book!

I can’t say I was ever interested in the ship or the story.

I was never interested in modern ships.
I was more into large wooden sailing ships.

    Why? Probably because of “pirates”?
What kid doesn’t dream of being a pirate..

I forget what the system was back then, but you don't want to see mine in 2002. Was about $2000 a year.

Honestly..never seen the movie. Not even a bit.
