The place you work at being short staffed and having to work around unreliable people, thus making more headaches for you.

A part-time dishwasher has been hired, and he starts Friday (might be a she)!

They must really like me, because I am being given new jobs besides washing dishes that are less stressful; I do not feel like applying for a new job, the pros far outweigh the cons, and my ultimate plan is to hold onto this job through the winter. I plan on getting my EPA certs over the winter, while Amanda saves up for a car.

Warehouse work can kind of SUCK.........
I worked at a warehouse once, more like a distribution center.
It was for a large trucking company. Hot inside in the summer, cold inside in winter.
The trucks were HOT in the summer. Sweated my balls off there. It sucked.......

I also worked at warehouse that printed mail "catalogs".
    That job sucked too.....

I'd rather be out in the open working, then inside a stale warehouse.

Maybe I'd have liked it better if it was climate controlled?
But 10 hours in a warehouse 5 or 6 times a week is not where I want to be.

    Dude.......Got get your HVAC Certs......
Do what you like. Do what you know.

A job popped on ZipRecruiter that I almost applied for, at Thompson Lexus! It is for a valet driver, with pay of $13.75 to $18 per hour, but it's part time; I was tempted to apply, but they are really bending over backwards to make sure I stay at the nursing home, so I've decided to keep this job at least through the holiday season. Everything about the job, except the actual job, is perfect!

I have been in contact with the former Puck bouncer co-owns an HVAC contracting company, and he seems willing to hire me for an entry-level position as soon as business picks up; I am 100% getting my EPA certs before I turn 36!

All you need is a web cam......
I might know a guy that has looked into it. :)

    Why? I don't know?
Maybe because my dad just paid $675 dollar for some one to come out and diagnose a A/C leak.
And all they did was refill the system.

    Why $675?
Because his wife couldn't wait until Monday.
She called on a Saturday evening and got charged after hours rate.

    WTF?
I could have put the refrigerant in for way less.
    I just can't buy it........

What's weird is that you can get R134a for a vehicle without a license, but you need a license/certs to buy R410a...

What's the difference between R134a and R410a? Why do my truck and my parents' fridge use R134a, but the central air in our house is R410a...

You can buy 410a without a cert.
    You just can't use it.

You can buy it, but only for the purpose of reselling it.
You can not buy it with the intentions of using it without a 408 cert.
And you can not knowingly sell it to someone that intends to use it, that does not have a cert.

    It's a grey area.......

My understanding is Flamabilty a pressures.

134 is low(er) pressure, and less flammable

410 Higher pressure and more combustible.

Not bad not bad. I meant it's not a bad idea to explore options re the warehouse job. Maybe if they had something down the road too..

I forget, what's minimum wage in PA? WOuldn't be as bad if you could get that pt up to more like 40, or fit it around the other schedule

I have no idea what the minimum wage is in PA, because I’ve always made more than minimum wage. I made $5 an hour under the table working as a delivery driver at a pizzeria 9 years ago, but I made a lot of money in tips.

Lowest hourly wage I ever made was $8.50 an hour at Dunkin Donuts back in 2013, and I quit after three weeks.

I made $10 an hour at Puck, started out at $16 an hour at NAVMAR and was making $19 an hour when I got laid off, and $15 an hour at the nursing home. I get $22.50 an hour for overtime and holidays at my current place of employment. I technically made $10 per hour detailing cars, but it was a flat rate depending on what vehicle I was detailing.

I’ve also had a large number of side hustles since 2015, including a weekly Costco run for a friend who owned a hoagie shop, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and scrapping.

The period of November 2014 to January 2021 is when I was earning the most money annually.

A quick use of the Google machine is 7.25, looks like it's been unchanged around 12-15 yrs at least.

Lowest I’ve ever made on the books is $8.50 an hour; I don’t think many places in PA pay legit minimum wage. Wawa advertises $15 an hour and Chuck-Fil-A advertises $17 an hour…
