This may be the first New Year's I don't remember, for the first time in well over a decade!

My friend and former coworker whipped up some of his famous homemade eggnog, and made a whole mason jar of the stuff for yours truly...

    image.jpg

In case you didn't know, I'm "Chazz." Gary is another friend and former coworker, and the blank one is for the creator of this concoction...

Did I mention that my cousin and I will be going to Troeggs Brewery that same weekend?

It's been a frustrating situation. Especially considering that I am on the spectrum, and I should understand. But when I went to school, I was in fear of getting the belt from my Dad if I got out of line, or paddled by the Principal(they actually did that back then). So I just didn't understand what I was agreeing to when we started down this road. I was just trusting that the school was making the right recommendations. Boy was I wrong to do that. Learning as we go here...

Also, I've never had a serious problem with police, but I love taking pictures of trucks and I've had owners of those trucks go absolutely batshit crazy!

The lovely lady I'm posing with in the picture below is my cousin. She's just under 4 months younger than me, and we are more like brother and sister than anything. The photo was taken by boss, last year (October 2016) when we went to a Halloween party at the bar where I work...

    Try and guess our "costumes"...

My cousin and I are very close. She is oldest daughter of my dad's younger brother, who owns Jeff's Wheel Repair. After growing up with me, she decided to go to grade school and become a school psychologist so she could help other kids like me (with Aspergers and other forms of ASD).

So, one time in June 2016, we were driving up to Grammy's lakehouse in Maine. It was right before my cousin got married. My dad's 2013 Honda Pilot has a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. I'd purchased a bunch of DVDs at Wal Mart in preparation for the 7-hour drive, including a couple of chick flicks that I knew my cousin would enjoy...

One of these "chick flicks" was the unrated version of Sisters, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler...

Fairly early on in the movie, there's a scene where Tina and Amy discover their parents are selling the family home. The accidentally end up meeting the Geernts, the snobbish young married couple from New York who will be buying their childhood home. Once the buyers are out of earshot, Tina makes the following comment...

"Geernt? Sounds like a queef on a yoga ball."

We both start laughing, loudly and uncontrollably, as soon as Tina Fey says this...

My dad was driving and my mom was riding shotgun, so I guarantee you we scared them!

A 27-year old guy and a 26-year old woman, both laughing childishly and uncontrollably at this one line...

Those 90s pictures are awesome! I remover some of the toys you showed from my childhood. We are very close to the same age. I'm 31.

Dude you're going to Troeggs?!?! I love their beer!

Okay, so for those didn't see my earlier post, here's a recap...

I recently found out that a good friend and former coworker of mine has a cocaine habit. I think this has been going on for about a year or so, maybe a little less.

This coworker was well known for smoking weed and overindulging in alcohol, but told me that they had never done coke when I asked them if they had out of curiosity. This was probably back in 2015 or so, and at that time I believe he was telling the truth.

This seems to be fairly recent, like in the last year or so, and the signs were right in front of me (aggression, mood swings, and unexplained bouts of general goofiness). However, just a week or so prior to me finding out from a close friend about this coke habit, the friend with coke habit had told me that they'd never done coke and never would.

I'm a bit annoyed at this friend for lying to me, but I'm sad more than anything. This friend really is a good person, and I hope that they get the help they need before it is too late.

That said, I think weed should be legalized nationwide, but I pretty much condemn the use of all other drugs.
