I think I've said it before, but I rarely drink. (Been 5+ years since I even had a "sip").
Mostly because I don't know when to stop. Been there, puked, felt bad.....repeated it multiple times.
Finally settled down and came to the conclusion, Drinking isn't for me.
I have nothing against it, but it's just not for me.

I’ve never puked from drinking too much; I’ve gotten some really bad hangovers, but I can hold my liquor!

I've never played golf.
Been to the driving range a couple times.

I'd rather shoot at the golf balls with a 12ga, then hit at them with a club.

So, Drunk I would be.......If I "had to play golf".

The government is incredibly inefficient! So, Emily likely passed in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3rd. We found her that night; Emily's dad cancelled her mail almost immediately...

Emily was on food stamps, and two weeks of inactivity triggered a response from the county. Amanda and I both live in Bucks County, and Emily lived just across the county line in Montgomery County. A couple weeks ago, I deposited some scrap money at my bank, which happens to be less than a mile from Emily's condo; Amanda was not with me (going to Emily's condo gives her anxiety), so I drove over there just to make sure nothing was out of place. This was probably two or three weeks after we found Emily, and the front door had not been repaired. The condo has been empty since May 3rd, and Emily's dad just had the door repaired yesterday.

I found nothing out of place, but I did find a piece of mail tucked into the storm door; I was on the phone with Amanda, and she told me to take it because based on who it was from, Emily's social security number was likely on it. I texted Emily's dad to let him know, and he was fine with me taking the mail for safekeeping; Emily's dad was a bit confused as to why she'd still be getting mail, but our theory is that the mail was delivered to the wrong address before her dad cancelled it (or there was a breakdown in communication between various government entities) and Emily's neighbor brought it over unaware that Emily had passed away.

The mail was with my files at home, and my intention was to hand it over to Emily's dad when we go over to the condo to get the furniture that Amanda is being given; I texted with Emily's dad yesterday, and got permission to just open the mail. If it was deemed to be unimportant, I was to simply dispose of it; I opened it, and as mentioned above it was a letter from the county about Emily's food stamps. The date on the envelope said it had been sent out on May 19th, more than two weeks after Emily's death and actually the date of the memorial service we attended; I forget what day it was when I found the letter. The letter stated that there had been no activity on Emily's account (No, really?!?!), and that she would lose her benefits if she didn't make a purchase by like June 25th; I find it funny that the county couldn't have done a little digging, especially since Emily was taken to the same county's morgue!

Anyway, Emily no longer needs food stamps and if the county wants to just close her account, it makes things a lot easier for her dad! Amanda and I ran all of the paperwork through my dad's paper shredder, and Emily's dad was very appreciative; Emily's dad is very busy, so I might go back to her condo at some point next week to make sure nothing else gets delivered by mistake.

The purpose of government system is for each nook and cranny to work independent of others. Checks and balances.

The folks that issue food stamps do so until ordered otherwise. And the arm that revokes has to receive/process/execute order, albeit inefficiently.

I guess what I’m saying is that while the system makes zero sense, I’ve started to get it

Oh I don't like playing golf. We just used it as an excuse to drink and drive golf carts around.

I’ve never been in trouble with the law, but I got trespassed from the nursing home where I used to work for going off on a mentally ill and stroked out resident for attacking my truck; I was totally sober.

IIRC when I moved and had to file change of address it's approx 4-6 weeks before it really works, though in theory mail is supposed to be forwarded.

That said it doesn't surprise me a bit. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing a lot of those times.

Well YOLO...I've driven a couple and I prefer the older 6.2L trucks. Toss on some better aftermarket shocks and GTG.
