Strawberry slice frozen to an outside wall at the bar where I work!

 

My boss gave me the task of wiping down the boards at the patio bar. Unfortunately, the chemicals in Fantastic will not keep it from freezing!

I believe this one is a brand new, unopened bottle...

It is frozen completely solid!





This bottle is a little less than half-full, and while it didn't freeze, this Arctic freeze we've been experiencing has reduced it to a useless sludge!

For New Years, the bartenders decided to do it again! I decided to join in on the fun!



The one with the lighter-colored hair and the thinner blue stripe on her nose is Anya. The one with the brown hair is Edna. Obviously, that ugly mug in the center is me!

Along with the autism diagnosis, he was diagnosed with OCD and ADHD. His teachers complained so much about his behavior, he is now on ADHD medication.

My son is 8 but his manners and actions are what you would see in a 2 or 3 year old. He knows the computer better than most “normal” kids his age.

He does not like smooth food like carrots or a slice of meat or cheese. Likes textured food like chicken nuggets.

Certain noises bother my son like vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and hand dryers in public restrooms.

A couple therapists said that a small percentage of autistic kids have problems with fluorescent lights.

There is a movie about a woman named Temple Grandin. She has autism and the movie shows her dealing with her autism and the ignorance of society.

 

I was scared of automatic toilets in public restrooms. Hell, I was scared of all pressure-flush toilets in public restrooms. I was also scared of the central A/C unit at my aunt and uncle's old house. It was in the backyard and my aunt would have to adjust the thermostat, so the unit would shut off, in order to get me to play back there with my cousin.

My aunt and uncle bought this house, located in Maryland, brand new in 1987 and lived there until 1994. It was a very oddly laid out house (more on that later).

One time, the A/C came on while i was playing back there, and I ran into the house screaming and crying. I was probably 4 or 5.

It's also worth noting that the house in Maryland had a heat pump, not just a conventional central A/C unit. This meant the damn thing ran year-round so I had to deal with it in winter, too.

I am planning on becoming an HVAC tech, so obviously I've overcome that fear!

 

It took me until just a couple years ago to start trying salad because I didn't like the texture. I was also afraid to touch certain things because of the perceived texture.

 

None of my teachers ever complained about me, and fortunately I never ended up in special ed classes. I was for the most part in normal classes with other "normal" kids, but I took a lot of the teacher's attention away from the rest of the class. Sometimes I was put team-taught classes (2 teachers), and sometimes I was out in smaller classes that had one teacher.

For the most part though, I was treated like a normal kid.

I have had a few teachers who were unprofessional douchebags though.
