My boss has this Polaroid-style instant camera, and as part of this random holiday project, she and one of the barbacks took candid shots of all the employees and posted them on the bulletin board behind the hostess stand...

    This is mine!

I had a viper alarm and remote start installed in 13 as I was in Lafayette, IN during winter and I could start the truck from my hotel room and it would be nice and toasty and almost defrosted by the time I got in her to go to the office. I put in heated seats a few years ago and with the remote start, yeah the best thing evva...

I used to live in Western PA. Remember the yearly inspections. One A hole tried to fail my mom’s car for brakes and charge her for new ones. She had new brakes installed a month before the inspection.

    My point exactly!

It's a conflict of interest to have the people who profit from fixing vehicles perform the inspections!

My dad's near-mint 1996 Pathfinder failed emissions in 2007, for a hole in the muffler if I remember correctly.

Only Chicagoland requires emissions testing in your state, right?

My friend had it installed in a '97 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LS he used to own, cost like $250-$300?

Boss's 2005 Element is just over a thousand miles past due for an oil change, so guess who's been tasked with taking it for an oil change while on the clock?!?!

Yes, my boss's 13-year old Honda has only 91K on it!

It's gonna snow here tomorrow, but not up in the Poconos (at least not where my friend's parents' house is located)! Gonna be bitterly cold, but at least there won't be any new snow accumulation! This means I can drive my Tacoma up!

Just a couple things to remember. On my ‘13 the interior lights kinda fade to black when opening & closing the door. This may confuse the logic of the remote starter. Eg. once the 15 min. run time is up & shuts off the truck, the park lights stayed on until you opened/closed the door. An easy fix.
The other is don’t buy one that starts the truck on temp. drop. You’ll come out in the morning with no gas left. If it’s that cold, I’m not going anywhere.

My taco has no remote start. I few months ago I bought an 02 Dakota for a farm truck. It had a remote start already installed. Best Thing Ever! when it ever warms up the taco will come out of the garage for a drive. Until then... click click... vroooom!

I have the Compustar Alarm/Remote start (PRIME 901) installed on my truck, paid just a little over $600 for system plus installation. Has a 2 way remote and a range of 1 mile. Plan to install the drone system in the near future. Love it and use it every morning lately to warm the truck before putting my daughter in to take her to daycare. Glad I pulled the trigger and bought it. Worth every penny.

CarToys has a few really excellent deals on them right now for another week or so. Fwiw new Hondas come with them, my roommate just got a 17 Civic. It has a factory remote start. Automatically sets it to 72° and warms the seats as well. Pretty fuckin slick for a Honda

Rockford, Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, Springfield and East St. Louis areas have testing. If I lived about 2 miles further west, I would not need testing.
