The "Puck Van" was the equivalent of an average-looking chick who was really good in bed!

    That thing was a beast!

1999 GMC Safari SLE all-wheel drive, fully loaded. Even had the G80 locking rear from the factory...

One time I purposely drifted it in the parking lot of a nursing home during a snowstorm!

    Even better...

My boss knows I did this!

I wanted to buy it too. The owner of my bar sold it for a thousand bucks, but my parents didn't want another vehicle, especially one that said "Puck Live" on it, in their driveway!

New headlights and that would be a super clean 2nd gen
Nothing a little paint couldn’t fix! That would have been a fun rig to have

And like I said, it was loaded. Blue and silver two-tone paint, all power options, front and rear A/C...

Only 105K miles on it, original owner, no accidents...

The owner had just put like five grand into repairing the transmission, and it could been mine for a grand!

The only things wrong with it were:

    1. A/C had a leak and needed to be charged and repaired (The A/C did in fact work though).
    2. Power mirrors did not work (99% sure it was a loose wire)
    3. "SERVICE AWD" light regularly came on (all-where drive worked great and mechanic always gave it a clean bill of health; it was a mystery).
    4. It had the factory Delco AM/FM CD player, which did actually have an AUX input in the back (a head unit is easy to replace).

I forget to mention that the Puck Van would be equivalent to an average-looking chick is who is not only good in bed, but also a genuinely good friend who you can tell just about anything.

Some vehicles are equivalent to fuck buddies though...

A 1990 Lamborghini Countach would be a perfect example...

The Countach is one of the most beautiful vehicles on the planet, and anybody who can afford to buy one is a lucky bastard!

However, like that hot busty woman one might bang on weekends with no strings attached, the Countach would quickly become tiresome in day-to-day life...

The interior is cramped, the air-conditioning system is mediocre at best, the car lacks many of the modern safety features we now take for granted, and one must open the iconic scissor door and look out the opening in order to back up!

Charlie, serious question. You ever consider writing a book or a published blog about you and your daily life?

With regards to my former friend being a "Rescue Rhonda," that's only half of it!

She does display some of those "God complex" tendencies, but she isn't that bad in those respects.

When I say she is biased in favor or emergency personnel, well here's any example...

Say there's a green light and a civilian in a vehicle has the right of way. They are going maybe 5 MPH above the speed limit, but they have the right of the way.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a police car or an ambulance, or even a fire truck, blows through a red light. The civilian motorist, who again has a green light, has absolutely no way of stopping. He or she clobbers the emergency vehicle going 45-50 MPH. The injuries are either minor or nonexistent, but the civilian's vehicle is probably totaled. If the emergency vehicle is anything smaller than a van or an SUV, it is probably totaled too.

I once almost clobbered a cop car that decided to blow through a red light, when I had a green...

Yes, emergency vehicles with sirens do have right away, but I read somewhere that they are only allowed to run red lights if the intersection is clear, if someone with a green light hits them, then they are at fault. I agree with that...

Emily told me that my insurance would have to pay to fix or replace the emergency vehicles, as well as the medical bills of any emergency personnel.

I told Emily that I don't care if it's the Queen of England, or some gung-ho first responder, who hits my truck. If somebody runs a red light and hits my Tacoma when I have a green, they'd better pay for it!

When approaching the intersection we have to do what is called “clear the intersection” even when green. If it is red we must clear all path/rightaways before proceeding. If it is shown we did not clear them and an accident happens we are at fault. Just because we have lights and sirens going doesn’t give us an excuse to ignore safety.
    What’s next step?

I thought you might like that...

Did you see the whole thing?

Bentley's owners had him off the leash at a park about two miles from my house. He took off after a deer and his owners spent over an hour looking for him!
