Very true and wise advice. Last thing you want Charlie is your name in the news because you did something or someone did something to you. Just let people be stupid and you just hangout in the background.

Here's another one where I wasn't driving or even in a motor vehicle. I was sent to get Starbuck's for the staff, and I was too lazy to use the use the crosswalk. I made sure the two-lane road was clear, which it was, and proceeded to cross the street. As I am doing so, this Nissan Altima that's almost half-a-block away lays on it's horn and speeds up. I'm not talking about just a little toot. The driver fucking laid on the horn. I've got arms full of Starbucks and I'm trying to move as a fast as I can without spilling. Finally, I scream at the Altima driver to "shove it up their ass" as I make it to the sidewalk and they roar past. An older couple on the sidewalk on the other side saw the whole thing and took my side. Why do people do these things? I will admit that I do have a tendency to get very aggressive because perfect strangers tend to single me out...

Why do you think the guys in the Dakota singled me out? I truly think it's because they assumed I was a well-to-do "rich kid," and I was driving a late model "import" truck and they were a couple of dirty hicks in an American-made beater.

People always seem to assume I'm rich, and I have no idea why...

    @Iamraiderpower

I told you about the accident I was involved in back in November 2013 that ended up being 50/50 where the drunk women in the Lexus fled the scene, but then tried to screw me for almost $2,000 and force me to pay her in installments...

People take one look at my truck and assume I'm rich! I'm not rich! My fucking Tacoma was worth maybe $12K at the time!

Driving to a car show and minding my own business? What you're saying is they probably made a pact to fuck with the next poor bastard to come along?

Also Bill, that person from two or three years ago is no longer the person I am today. I was just sharing that story to get an opinion. From time to time I get really mad and blast the horn at people who do stupid shit, but I don't actually engage. As long as they don't hit me or my truck, there's no point in getting confrontational!

Bill said I was in the wrong place at the wrong time...

I was bullied a lot in school, so it made me quite aggressive. I have a lot of friends, and people just tend to like me and say I am one of the nicest people they've ever met, but when people really fuck with me, I may as well be the Incredible Hulk...

Sometimes I feel like I can't help it. I feel like I'm backed into a corner. I've never been in an actual fight (at least no since middle school), but if someone really pisses me off I tend to start screaming and hurling insults.

I don't know what drivers are like in Texas, but...

I was a very easygoing driver from the time I got my license in 2011 until 2015. Then I started to get a bit more aggressive. Drivers around here are douchebags. Drivers in California are douchebags. I've driven in Oklahoma City before and drivers in Oklahoma are pretty cool.

You're right. There's no excuse for being aggressive behind the wheel. I have changed my attitude drastically in the last year, but every once in a while someone really pisses me off. The most I've ever done in the 7 years I've had my license is blast the horn and/or flip somebody off. I don't get violent and I've never gotten out of my truck to confront somebody...

Anger is an impulse. Whether you act on it or try to suppress it is a choice. With practice, one can improve that control. I don’t know if being on spectrum makes any difference or not in this aspect.

TX drivers are pretty bad too. Houston has drivers that are mostly fast, always changing lanes and driving crazy, but not too much road rage. DFW has more of a mix of slow drivers, fast drivers, and plenty of road rage.

I think the extra DFW road rage comes from the slow/proper drivers for the most part, who don’t appreciate the fast/crazy drivers. For example, just yesterday another truck and I both switched into a turning lane, and the middle-aged woman behind us in that lane was wagging her finger that I cut in too close to her vehicle. If that had been a younger or more aggressive person, I wouldn’t be surprised if they started tailgating me to “teach me a lesson”.

One time when I still had my learner's permit, my mom picked me up from college in the Tacoma and let me drive home.

For most of the drive home, there was this 30-something woman in a Chrysler minivan who I believe had kids in the back, and she tailgated us. My mom kept staring back at her, and when we made the final left turn to go home, she flipped off my mom...

What do you think is worse?!?!

    Monster Energy or powder cocaine?!?!

One of those I've never done and never will do. The other I consume on a regular basis!

So I don't have the mods getting upset, I'll say yet again that I've smoked weed one time in my life and believe it should be legalized for recreational use. Some of my closest friends experimented with coke when they were younger. One of my good friends has a coke habit.

That said, I vehemently despise hard drugs like coke (both crack and powder), heroin, and meth. I will never touch hard drugs!

You could even say that my Tacoma is my addiction! Heroin is evil, but putting thousands of dollars in your vehicle is one of the purest forms of self-expression!
