You said you sat in a Rolls-Royce one time. Do you recall the year and model?

 

I've sat in a few over the years. But the only one I specifically remember was an '84 Silver Spirit. This was about 10 years ago

My friend in Hong Kong told me that 1981-newer Rolls-Royce SZ models are expected to increase in value to $50K+ in the next five years! You can get them for under $20K now!

As many people know, I've got a friend who lives in Hong Kong. For those of you who don't know, Homg Kong is not technically in China. It is a special administrative region with it's own government that is separate from the ruling communist party in Mainland China. Macau is also it's own special area, but this post is not about Macau. Hong Kong and China are both represented by Chinese embassies, but HK and and Mainland China both have their own passports and driver's licenses! Since everybody in HK automatically gets a photo ID card and many people never get a driver's license, the driver's license is a separate document from the HKID and does not have a picture on it (it is good for 10 years though!).

I forget exactly how it worked, but I guess you say that Britain leased Hong Kong island and the mainland region of Kowloon for about a century.

In 1997, the UK returned Hong Kong and Kowloon to China. Instead of assimilating Hong Kong and Kowloon into the communist government of the mainland, China turned them in a Special Administrative Region. This is commonly known as "One country, Two systems."
