PRO came out in 17. My PRO 6MT is a 17.

My 01 has 233K miles on it.

    I drive 45K miles a year.

My dad wants to get me an '18 because it has TSS with the automatic braking...

I told him only if it's a 2.7L with a millennial antitheft device...

Get the 18. They rock. They have a millennial anti theft device like mine.

You can get the 2.7L 4x4 manual trans.

Get it before your dad changes his mind

And it's virtually impossible to find an '18 AC SR5 4x4 around here. I had my local dealer do a search and the only one within 50 miles is down in Langhorne!

    Bummer. Didn't know that

I already have the dog 2.7L in my 01. I don't need another one, and I don't follow the access cab truck market. I need the 4 doors :)

My dad was just thinking out loud...

No new trucks at this time.

If I hit the lottery, I'm gonna keep my 2010 RC, but also buy a red 2018 SR5 2.7L 4x4, a white or black 2018 T4R TRD Pro, a red 1992 Bentley Continental R, an old Suburban, and an old 4x4 Tundy. I'll have a vehicle for every occasion!

If I had my own money I would, but my dad is a "buy whatever is on the lot" kind of guy.

Back in 1996 when he bought a new Pathfinder, it took him like a month to find the exact one he wanted!

Just to keep it looking spiffy!

I may have exaggerated a tad when i said each rotation. More like every other. But my point was it doesnt hurt to paint the drums...unless you soak them down with 10 coats and dont wait for it to dry...then you might run into an issue.

Comments telling me what you think are appreciated!

Here's a childhood example of someone fucking with me, and an example I didn't fall for...

When were living in on-base, government-owned housing in Northern California, I was bullied a lot. There was this kid named Garrett who was about a year younger than me who live in our cul-de-sac. He was nice enough and we hung out around the neighborhood from time to time, but he did gang up with other kids and tease me as well.

One time, he thought it would be funny to tease me, then go inside and change clothes, and tell me his identical twin did it.

I saw through the prank immediately, but he decided to keep it going. My mom was across the street talking to a neighbor who lived in another cul-de-sac and I had gone home to grab something.

While I was at home, there was a knock on the door. I answered it, and there was Garrett asking me if I'd seen his nonexistent twin brother.

Some of you know about Molly, the female Black Lab who came into our family at just 7 weeks of age in early 1995, when I was 5. Molly was born on December 11th, 1994 and we had to put her to sleep December 23rd, 2009 due to severe arthritis and failing kidneys. Molly was 15 when she died and preferred to spend the last year or so of her life lying around the house, but in 1997 when the story I'm telling you took place, she wasn't even 3 years old yet and quite energetic.

As soon as I opened the door, Molly got past me and pushed through the storm door.

Garrett, being the twatwaffle that he was, left the gate to our fenced-in enclosure open. Molly saw the open gate and was gone. I immediately started screaming at Garrett, an he halfheartedly apologized before disappearing.

If you think I'm protective of my Tacoma now, you shoulda seen how protective I was of my dog. Molly was a Christmas present from my parents and you could argue that I cared about her more than life itself.

Molly actually ran across the street, and if she'd been hit by a car, I would have beaten the shit out of Garrett and attempted to sue his parents for vet bills if Molly lived.

The verdict: If my Tacoma gets totaled, I've got really good insurance and could get a new one within days. If my dog gets killed as a result of someone else's stupidity, no amount of money can make that right...

So Molly ran across the street with me following closely, and I found my mom and told her what happened. My mom ended up catching Molly and was not mad at me. Needless to say, Garret never really fucked with me after I went ballistic on his punk ass for causing my dog to escape...

So my dad likes the idea of caliper covers and it is looking like those could be a birthday present...

What color should I get though?

You also live in the great state of Texas where the law is very much on the side of property owners, and where shooting a truck thief would probably be considered a justifiable homicide...

And you're legally a minor, so you could beat the shit out of someone for causing harm to your truck and not face serious charges, if any at all.
