She would have to be to understand my curious ways, wouldn't she Charlie? Lol.

In fact, she doesn't always understand my quirks, but she puts up with them anyways.

One good thing about being friends with other Aspies is that their parents understand you...

My friend Doug's parents had their heat pump replaced back in 2010...

The outgoing unit was a late 1990s Trane XE1000 Weathertron 5-ton heat pump, matched up with the house's original 1987 Trane air handler...

    28373_1475197317152_1870729_n_901c5b117b3f30bde76ba73b06ea262b6cfd9f04.jpg 28373_1475197397154_5709021_n_391b6706b4971ff54f7eb339287963444a4683bf.jpg

Manufactured in October 1998, but not installed at my friend's house until the summer of 1999. The house's original late 1980s Trane XE 900 heat pump (identical to this one but a 9 SEER instead of a 10 SEER) suffered a compressor failure in the middle of a record heat wave, so the XE1000 was installed as a drop-in replacement...

My friend's parents let me tear the old beast apart before the company that installed new system took it away!

I followed instructions on Tacomaworld but basically:

    1. Took a completely empty usb drive and made a folder “StartupImage” and put the jpg file in there

    2. Put in the USB port, started the car, and went to (a) apps (b) setup (c) general settings (d) customize startup, and then it asks if you want upload. I hit “yes” and it was automatic. Hit ok and all done. Photos below:
