Right now a lot of cops still know me as "that kid with the silver Tacoma who got hit by a drunk guy."

Well, I think I'm going to have stuff shipped to my neighbor's house or a P.O. Box from now on...

My new $325 Pioneer head unit (that I paid for) arrived today while I was work...

My mom is holding MY stereo hostage until I pick up my bedroom floor!

    :annoyed:

Get a load of this one then...

There was one teacher's assistant (not even an actual teacher) who seemed hell bent on giving me detentions, most commonly for swearing...

This was exclusively in 12th grade (September 2006-June 2007), and I'm not even talking about f-bombs or s-bombs...

I would regularly say "goddamn it" or just "damn." Sometime it was "hell"...

Even worse was the fact that these words were not even directed at anybody! I swore when you'd expect any normal person to do so! Examples included when I dropped a rolling pin in ceramics class, when I dropped my brand new day-old iPod Nano (the replacement for the Shuffle mentioned earlier), and when I hit my head or stubbed my toe...

Seriously, it's not like I called this teacher's assistant a bitch or told her to go fuck herself, or something like that!

Things really came to a head when she gave me a detention for saying goddamn it this one time, and then in ceramics class another kid used the f-word in front of both her and the ceramics teacher, and neither of them seemed to care!

The ceramics teacher said that she would give anybody a detention for swearing in her class just to shut me up, but she honestly didn't seem to care if people cussed in her class. It was only when this overzealous teacher's assistant was present that I had to worry.

That time I dropped my brand new iPod Nano, I shouted "Goddamn it!" Luckily it wasn't broken, but that thing wasn't cheap!

The teacher's assistant gave me another detention, and I'd about had it. I threw a fit, grabbed my stuff, and stormed out of the room.

Moments later, a special education teacher (a legit teacher with a masters degree) who'd witnessed this encounter, caught up to me in the hall and told me not to worry because I wouldn't be getting a detention.

I don't know what that particular teacher said to the teacher's assistant, but the assistant stopped cracking down on me for swearing after that...

The Mexican constitution gives the accused the presumption of innocence. However verdicts are rendered by a panel of judges not a jury. I don't believe there is bail in Mexico, the accused stay in jail until trial.
The Mexican legal system sent cops who tried to extort money from me to prison, I like it :)

Why are people so fucking crazy these days? I've been on YouTube a lot lately, watching road rage incidents that were captured with dashcams.

As a lot of people know, I was hardly an angel behind the wheel in the first five or so years after I got my license, but I've calmed down a lot...

I've been flipped off before, I've been sworn at, and I've been been brake-checked. I had one where a person tried to engage me; All I had to do was point at my dashcam and it they drove away like the coward they were...

I get mad when people flip me off or do whatever, but unless they do something that directly endangers me (which hasn't happened), I ignore them. My response to road ragers before I got the dashcam was to turn up the radio, look straight ahead, and ignore the assholes...

At the beginning of the summer in 2017, in my area (well it was Chester County, about an hour from where I live, but still in the Philly burbs), an 18-year old girl in and Audi and a guy in a Chevy Silverado were trying to merge onto the highway at the same time. The driver of the Chevy, who had a legally-purchased semi-automatic handgun and a permit to carry, pulled out his gun and fired into the girl's Audi. She died instantly and her car went off the road. The guy in the Chevy fled the scene but later turned himself in. Also, the incident was initially investigated as a fatal single-vehicle accident. First responders then realized that the car had very minor damage and the driver was wearing her seatbelt. They then discovered the bullet wound and realized that this was far more than just an accident...

The girl didn't beep at the guy or flip him off. It was just a cat-and-mouse game of merging onto the freeway!

In my humble opinion Spruce Mica still might be the best color the Tacoma was ever made in.

Definitely NOT the same truck, unless the owner decided to redo the exterior...

It ran a bit warm at times in my truck, but it never gave me a blister. It served me faithfully for almost 4 years...

I had it anywhere between 20 and 40. Max volume is 50. The radio has been sitting unused for a year and a half, so maybe some dust or something got in there...

I also did tell you that I accidentally dripped some water on the outer metal chassis while it was sitting in my truck a couple weeks ago.
