And also, people think the things I say are funny. People love me. I've had friends, family members, and coworkers take me aside and ask me what my friend's "deal" is. I am honestly trying to look out for him...

I tolerate his quirks, but I am worried that some of the stuff he does is going to get him in trouble. I am trying to help him. Honestly, if he wants to talk about movies and shit when it's just the two of us in the car, that's fine. I am more understanding of my friend than most people are, and I want him to improve his mannerisms.

 

If you try to help in to avoid trouble and he chooses not to listen, well thats on him.

 

That's all I've been trying to do...

I guess you can't help people who either don't want help or are too stubborn to accept it...

My friend's family has cats. I love animals, but I am allergic to cats...

I initially countered the allergies with Claritin when I went over there, but the allergies started getting worse and I decided to stop going. I'd told my friend in the past that I was allergic to cats and I had to limit my time spent at his house. He always had a very "So what?" attitude, but he'd seen how bad I could get after less than an hour around his cats...

Eventually, I stopped going to his house and always arranged get togethers at my house or at public places...

He took offense to this (after I told him about my cat allergy, mind you), and angrily confronted me after one too many times of organizing meetups at my house or the homes of mutual friends. He thought that I had a problem with him and/or his house. In all honestly, his house was out in the middle of nowhere and much less convenient for me and the rest of our friends to drive to. Also of note is the fact that his parents did have an HDTV of at least 42 inches, but his dad was too cheap to buy a surround sound system. My parents had surround sound on both the family room and basement TVs, and my friends and their parents all had surround sound as well. Needless to say, what it all boiled down to was that our other friends and their respective families were far more tech-savvy, and as a result their houses were much more ideal for parties! However, I would have overlooked those details if it weren't for the cats! I never intended to make my friend feel left out!

My friend was an asshole to me right out of the gate for what he incorrectly perceived as me just being a jerk, so I returned the favor and rather grouchily told him that his cats really aggravated my allergies. Needless to say, he apologized and never gave me grief for not wanting to come to his house ever again...

Same truck, different shows!

This is a 1986 K10 stepside with the midlevel Scottsdale trim...

It presumably has a 350cid/5.7L V8, and has a factory 4-speed manual transmission. This truck does not have A/C (which would typically be a deal-breaker for me if I were buying it) but regardless, of all the square-bodies I've photographed in almost six years, this one remains to this day one of my favorites!
