    All I remember is back in 2014, I wouldn't have had to pay for fire school...

    I don't remember who or what would have paid for it though.

    There's gotta be a totaled Tacoma somewhere in Texas that you can harvest for parts...

    No one does. As I stated before any class through the fire school is free for Bucks county departments. I’ve been doing this for 13 years. The only way some one has to pay for a class who is a member of a bucks county department is if they no call no show.

    When you get your EVOC certification, how long is that good for?

    Not really. It was a part of the deal to open the school.

    County intially ran it until the college took over the training. Outside of the county there are training packages which offset training costs for in county.

    I think there's gonna be an old vehicle revolution...

    New vehicles just suck!

    Depends on what it’s through. It changed about 3 years ago.

    And you do not have to obtain a CDL to drive even the biggest fire trucks, correct?

    Also, were you a paramedic or EMT before, or have you always been a firefighter?

    What about a 2nd Gen?

    @TinyTech626

    Care to join in?

    What do you think of newer vehicles as a whole?

    I have no idea...

    I like the 2.7L 3rd Gens, but I'd never buy a 3.5L. I think Toyota would have been better off putting a revised 4.0L in the 3rd Gen.

    I think my truck is right about where they started becoming too electronically advanced, so my truck isn't horrible...

    All I know is that I can do a lot of work on it myself, and that's just the way I like it! :thumbsup:

    You mean the 4.0L had abysmal MPG?

    Depends on what is going on. You don’t need a CDL to drive to an emergency. However to drive back from one by law you do need one. 90% of departments don’t require one at all. Though there is a push for drivers to get their CDL. Aside from SUV’s and Utility trucks this applies to all fire apparatus.

    I am still an EMT. Have been for 9 years. Hence why it depends on your evoc question. It’s no longer evoc. And it does expire if you do not do con-Ed’s and it’s listed on your emt / paramedic card.

    If your just using it for driving fire apparatus then it doesn’t really expire but evoc refreshers are required by most insurance companies on a yearly basis.

    @Jamesboy2233

    It's almost 2am (maybe it's like an hour earlier in Texas?). Don't you have school tomorrow?
