I actually had my truck dynotested last August at a truck show...

132hp at the wheels! I was shocked!

 

They have different transmissions, the 1FZ-FE has electronic control trans and a lower first gear making it feel much softer off the line. 1st is so low and strong they made it straight cut gears haha

 

Yours makes 190hp at the block I believe...

 

Mine's 159hp at the block...

 

Yup, and @Jamesboy2233 straight cut is a wow, you can hear them ever time you take off too. Kinda like that though it is a really strong feeling vehicle.

Iron, your engine is a pretty old design, basically a 3rz with VVTi like I said. @MrCrowntown proved you can use 3rz internals to build them up for turbo too.

 

So my engine is pretty damn bulletproof then!

 

Now that would be mostly doable although. Need a lot of really good filters though. I love my cruiser, best daily, especially if you have my really long 5min commute haha

And are the 2.7Ls in the 3rd Gens iron block?

 

Yup exact same engine as yours.

 

Yeah, I definitely don't think I want to get rid of my truck...

At 80K on the clock she's barely broken in! If she gets totaled I'll get a red 2018 AC SR5 4x4 with the same engine!

Well guys, it's 2:36am. I'm gonna try and get some sleep!

 

This may be the last year of the 4cyl, they killed off the manual trans for it and now it is only available in one trim level. I have 260k on my 3RZ, I'll keep it forever. When .I get turbo stuff going I'm just gonna build another 3RZ to have ready to swap in should this one blow.

 

Not that I know of, FJ80 seats are pretty tall too could be a tough swap. I like my power leather ones, if I was any taller I wouldn't fit in my cruiser tho. I'm putting Sparco racing seats in the Taco and a harness, after rolling my last truck I'm not taking chances this time

 

I'm 6'3" and you can see why these might be the limit for me haha.

 

I get that, I don't have any real preference for either one. It's hard to clean cloth but leather can be a pain for heat. I've got it setup decent, cruiser has a crotch cooling vent haha and the taco is just an adventure vehicle so as long as it is cleaned after every use it doesn't get too dirty since it isn't always being used.
