What do you think the of the GMT400 Suburbans?!?!

This is a GMC C1500 Suburban with the base SL trim. Base model Suburbans weren't commonly purchased new by everyday customers (both Chevrolet and GMC versions; Most went to fleets, commonly for law enforcement and emergency use)...

This 1997-1999 example has A/C and an AM/FM cassette, but no other options (If you look closely, you will notice that it has vinyl seats)!

I like em only in SLT Z71 trim

 

I wash the underside of the truck almost every week!

 

I do the same to my nut sack, but it’s still gonna sag. So rust will find its way just when Is the question...

 

Well, if I still have the truck in 10-15 years, I'd just consider putting a new frame under it a restoration expense.

 

This is a Yukon and not a Suburban, but it's a 4x4 and it has the SLT trim. The Z71 suspension package may have been available on the SUVs, but aside from the 1999-2000 Tahoe Z71 4-door, none of them ever had Z71 badging like the pickup trucks did. As such, I can't tell if a Suburban or Tahoe/Yukon has the Z71 package just by looking at it...

My new Rockford Fosgate amp arrived today, and my mom is not happy. The only positive thing she sees with regards to my stereo system is that my truck has a backup camera now.

At first, she went on the "when I was younger than you, I was supporting myself and lucky to have a new car that I paid for myself."

I shot that down by telling her that $175 of the bill is being paid by Amazon gift cards from my friends and birthday money from my grandma (the total for the amp, sub, and wiring is about $250).

She then went off about how "this stuff had better not become a distraction while I'm driving." Being a bit of a wiseass, I responded with "how can it distract me when it's gonna be behind the seat?" I told her that I would probably crank it at car shows when the truck is parked, but that I'm not one of those obnoxious pricks who blasts hip hop or rap at red lights. I also told her that these components (the amp and the sub) are to make the system sound better.

 

My cousin got me this book as a birthday present, and fucking love it so far!
