Tons of tacos ask anyone out here. It’s the state vehicle and the number one selling vehicle in the state. On my street alone there’s 15-20 6lug and 5-8 5lugs just on my street.

If I ever got a job in Hawaii, would it be worth it to bring my truck there? How much is shipping when the Department of Defense isn't paying for it?!?!

From the port at philly you’d be looking at about 2200 bucks so it depends on how much you think your truck is worth. But used tacos sell for the highest price here so you’d be paying a premium. And there’s no way in hell I would willingly move here. I have family in doylestown and when we visit we can’t believe how cheap goods and houses are compared to here.

I’d have said the same thing just without the four letter sentence enhancers. Polite is almost always better. But sometimes... perhaps. Pick situations carefully.

Please, take a look at the following truck picture and accompanying description, and tell me if there's anything about it that would make you assume it's for sale...

    IMG_7096.jpg

Nowhere in the description does it say that this pickup truck is for sale, nor does it say that it's even my truck! All you see in the description is an intro explaining that the picture was posted as part of a large compilation of First Gen Ram photos back in January 2017. The year, make, model, cab/bed configuration, and engine/fuel type are also listed. The actual picture was taken at Raceway Park back in September 2014, more than three years ago!

    IMG_7097.jpg

As a guy who made the honor roll numerous times in grade school, consistently got perfect grades in English/grammar, and graduated from Bucks Community College with a degree in journalism, maybe I'm being a bit picky...

This random Facebook user just says "price is this?" o_O :smack:

    IMG_7099.jpg

If this were the first time this had happened, I'd brush it off as a simple mistake. If it happened twice, I'd probably still take it as a simple mistake but start taking measures to make sure that no more mistakes were made...

I have lost count of how many times perfect strangers have hit me up Facebook asking if a vehicle in one of my photos was for sale (or how much I was selling it for in this case), and it's starting to get annoying. The very first comment I got was from some random guy asking if I had any parts for a late 1990s Dodge Dakota, on a compilation of Chevrolet S-10 photos! I politely explained that I just posted pictures for fun and was not in the business of selling parts, made a point of telling the guy that this was a Chevy truck photo mashup, and never got a response (he was probably embarrassed).

Most recently (early 2018), I got a private message from some guy asking either if "my van was still for sale" or "how much for my van"...

I knew he was referencing one of the my photos, but he had just sent me a private message and not commented on an actual so photo, so I said I didn't own a van and asked him what he was talking about. He then sent me a link to a picture I'd taken of a late 1990s-early 2000s Chevrolet Express conversion van, in Maine, back in June 2016! Like the picture of the burgundy Dodge pickup, the description of this van included the year, make, model, and engine. I had also tagged the location (Maine, like I said). Nowhere in the description did I say that this van was for sale, nor did I even say that the van was my vehicle.

Facebook automatically asks if I'm selling a vehicle when I add a description that includes the year, make, and model; However, I was always disregard this so I have no reason to believe that Facebook is actually listing the vehicles in my photos as being for sale. I have not posted photos of trucks on Facebook since probably late last year, probably November. My theory is that people on Facebook, who are in the market for a specific vehicle, type in the make and model of that vehicle and the search results bring up some of my photos. At one point, I remember posting a disclaimer saying that I am not a car dealer and that none of the vehicles in the photos are mine, but this didn't seem to do much.

Perhaps it’s just become human nature to see a picture online and assume somebody wants something for it. Read a Tacomaworld thread today about a guy who bought a salvaged 15 Pro (bad front end wreck) and restored it and then some. Did a great job. Out of the 70 or so posts at least 8 people asked him what he paid - he stated early he wasn’t going to share that, and yet folks kept asking, multiple times.

Some folks just don’t read anymore, they don’t seek to understand or get context. They just see the world in front of their nose and assume that’s what’s real.

What do you all think of this house? I've been eyeing it since 2009-2010. Aside from the fact that the bedroom area and kitchen/dining area have 8-foot ceilings, and I'm not wild about the kitchen layout, I would love to build this plan! My guess is that it would probably cost $600K-$800K in my area...

So, what do you think? My old acquaintance from Hong Kong, an interior designer, thought it was rather McMansion-like. I sort of agree with him, but I still like it!

It would sure be fun to turn a '14 RC into one of those! 4.0L/6-speed stick, TRD PRO suspension, TRD PRO wheels, that sick red/orange color; Basically everything that DCSB has, except power windows and locks because regular cabs don't have those features...
