ahhh, the US NAVY, that's where I'll go after high school.

 

My dad went to college first, and then joined right out of college. He was an officer, not enlisted. He was a navigator on a P-3.

 

Very nice, My dad went to college then applied for the Texas Highway Patrol. He joined sometime in 1986 and retired in the summer of 2003. He now owns a trucking company.

 

I've met a few guys from Texas on TW. The roads of Texas have been described to me as being quite crazy, with uninsured and drunk drivers galore...

Your dad's probably got some stories!

 

He has quite a few!

 

Luckily, he never had to draw his firearm at anyone.

 

I think DUI/sobriety checkpoints are obnoxious, but I think drunk drivers deserve to have their asses kicked...

Kinda contradictory, I know...

Do you have a sound system in your truck?

 

Unfortunately, no. I have other priorities, like a new paintjob, or a new set of tires.

 

I will eventually buy something that is at least better then the stock stereo system that is included.

 

You should at least get a head unit with an iPod hookup...

 

2005-2008 didn't even have an iPod hookup!

I got a Pioneer head unit, JBL speakers, a Rockford Fosgate amp, and a Kicker subwoofer. I've even got a backup camera!

 

I've been using an FM transmitter I found in a clearance bin at Wal-Mart. Doesn't sound too bad, bought it for $2.99!

 

The factory Bose system in my mom's 2013 Nissan Murano has absolutely no balls compared to what I've got in my truck!

 

I will probably just buy a headunit and some speakers, my brother installed some JBL onto his Nissan frontier, they're not too expensive and they sound great!

 

My mom also had a Murano, she traded it in for a 4runner in 2015

 

I paid only $86 for mine on Amazon. I started out with a basic Pioneer single-DIN head unit (which is in James' '95 Taco now) and Pioneer component speaker system. I ended up blowing one of the Pioneer speakers after five years and got the JBLs...

 

My dad's 2013 Honda Pilot Touring also has a weak sound system compared to my Tacoma!
