our nissan versa is standard, the clutch has been having some problems, which is why i dont touch it.

 

You'll have to double-clutch it...

 

I bugged my uncle to teach me how to drive stick in his '91 Toyota pickup for the better part of two years. He finally caved, and I mastered it in 20 minutes!

Last stick shift vehicle I drove was a '71 VW Bus belonging to another uncle...

 

I've been to California via car, it takes like 14 hours just to get to El Paso

Very nice vehicle, and nice shades!

 

He also has a '77 VW Westfalia camper. My aunt and uncle live in Northern California, and the Westfalia won't pass smog, so my uncle "cheated the system" by registering it as an antique at his brother's house in, you guessed it, Texas!

 

What part of Texas?

 

I honestly don't remember. My uncle owned property in Weslaco for the longest time...

Did he restore it, or did he buy it like that?

 

The Westfalia he bought pretty much as-is. He just added a Pioneer stereo system with CD and Bluetooth. The '77 came from L.A. and ran and drove but needed a ton of restoration work...

 

Looks great, for being 39 years old.
