The dealer quoted my dad a price of $6,000-10,000 pesos for a new paint job.

 

Do that then, but go to Crutchfield or Amazon for stereo stuff!

 

I started washing my truck at about 7:00 pm

 

@PennSilverTaco, how much was your monthly payment for your Taco?

 

It's dried soap, I took the picture before I rinsed that side.

 

It needs new paint, the roof paint is starting to oxidize.

 

It was a gift from my dad...

My dad paid a little under $15K for it after trade, put about $2K down, and financed the rest at 2.9% APR. He paid it off early, in late 2012-early 2013. I don't know what the monthly payments were; $250-$300 per month, maybe? I currently have a clear Pennsylvania title in my name, stashed in a fire safe.

 

Ehh, can't blame the previous owner. He tortured it pretty bad.

 

The truck is a 2010 model, manufactured in August 2009 and purchased in September 2009, right after the real estate bubble/2008 financial crisis...

My dad has perfect credit, but the mediocre interest rate he got was a sign of the times!

Not at all, the glove box makes a clicking noise when I turn on the recyl. Button

 

A/C can be noisy but still work good (i.e. freeze your balls off on even the hottest Texas days)...

 

Mine is black and lived in the desert part of El Paso.

 

Sat outside for 10 years, and 43,000 miles on the clock

 

2nd gen, best gen. Followed by 1st gen double cab.

 

Then in last place, 3rd gen.

 

I was going to get a nice red 1st gen double cab for $12,500 and 123,000 miles, but we saw this newer 2008 for $13,950 and 33,000 miles.

 

Mechanically, there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, it's the cosmetics that bug me.
