    I'm working on it...

I actually gave my dad what he sees as two legit reasons for needing window tint, so he's gonna pay for it!

I could honestly care less about PA state law regarding window tint, and about what police think, because...

    A. It's my truck.
    B. It's my truck!
    C. IT'S MY FUCKING TRUCK!

I want to limo tint the shit out of my truck, but I live in the suburbs where bored suburban cops have nothing better to do than harass otherwise innocent motorists for supposedly illegal vehicle modifications.

My one friend got a $150 ticket for having illegal tint on his Hyundai Genesis Coupe. However, he is rich and finds it easier to keep paying tickets than to remove his tint and actually comply with the law. I am all for civil disobedience, especially when it comes to my truck, but I can't afford the tickets...

That said, by PA law, tint must allow 70% of light in on the windshield and front windows. Rear windows have no limit. I am going to do 30% windshield and side windows, and as dark as possible for rear slider.

I respect the police, but I loathe bureaucracy!

I would also like to point out that I do not have a CCP and do not carry a firearm!

There is absolutely nothing in my Tacoma that the police need to worry about, and therefore I don't think law enforcement or PennDOT has any goddamn right to tell me what I can and can't do to something that is titled in my name!

I wouldn’t go anything over 70 on the windshield then seeing at night will be a hassle. 30 on the sides is perfect.

Explain to me how that's my problem...?

I just think it's ludicrous that a cop can pull over somebody who is breaking no other laws just because their windows are tinted too dark.

I used to get a 249 dollar ticket for window tint ever month from 2005-2007 in my Benz. Just got sick of paying it and found it easier to comply with the law.

15percent is perfect. It’s dark enough and you can still see out. My Tacoma and 4Runner both have the same 70 on windshield 30 on front sides and 15rears and back glass

    I'm a rebel, what can I say?

I think that if the vehicle is not unsafe, the government should shut their pie-holes about vehicle mods...

Being a rebel gets old really fast. The only thing they end up being a rebel to is freedom.

I only have to comply with the law in the state the vehicle is registered in, right?

Not if the police officer sees your vehicle every day. I know how small Doylestown is my family lives on lower state road.

My Tacoma is my therapy; It's how I express myself. If I can't modify my truck, then what can I do?

I just don't want the police to forget whose tax dollars pay their salaries, you know. They're supposed to serve us...

Here’s what I have come to terms with. Keep fighting the system your just going to get tired. There’s nothing against modifying your truck just keep it legal and you won’t get hassled. Remind a police officer you pay his salary and I can promise you’ll end up with a ticket.

Yup that’s why they can tint the shit out of their cars. I wish we could tint darker here in Hawaii cause the heat sometimes is nuts.

I've never reminded a police officer I paid his salary, though I came pretty fucking close to it that I got stopped while on foot (not driving, mind you) for the high crime of taking pictures in a residential area of Doylestown. Four fucking cops showed up for report of a guy with a camera. That incident left me with a general disdain for police that lasted about two years!
