My boss is off to Nebraska to visit her family for a week and I'm helping hold down the fort while she's gone. Normally, the patio at work is open on Sundays during summer, but my boss chose not to open it yesterday because of the extreme heat. We very rarely open on Mondays, no matter how nice the weather is, but today we are definitely not open. Luckily, all I have to do is let Tully out to do her business. Normally, I'd take the dog on a long walk, but it's too damn hot for both man and man's best friend...

Due to the Mexican presidential elections, Mexico is currently experiencing a lot of violence from the cartels. The dealer where my truck is currently at, was shot up last night.

How can this happen? Guns are strictly regulated in Mexico. Does this mean laws don't stop criminals (law breakers)?

I am finally getting the windows tinted in my 2010 RC 5-lug! Pennsylvania law requires that the windshield and front side windows let at least 70% of sunlight in, while there is no requirement for the rear window in trucks. I am getting the tinting done at Shades of Gray in Feasterville, and am calling tomorrow morning to make the appointment.

My question is this; How likely is it that I will be pulled over in other states (specifically New Jersey) because my tint "violates" their laws? I drive to Jersey on a fairly regular basis for car shows, and I've also got family there.

The three reasons I am getting window tint:

1. To limit my exposure to the sun (the left side of my face, as well as my left arm, are always red after driving in the summer)...

2. The interior will be cooler in the summer and the air-conditioner will be more effective...

3. I've found out that a regular cab Tacoma with untinted windows is like a fishbowl; It makes me nervous when people in the vehicle next to me stare at me for whatever reason...

 

You should follow the law of the state that your car registered at.

 

Which is exactly what I'm doing. My truck has been registered in Pennsylvania for almost 9 years, since it was new. I'm worried about Jersey...

 

I think it is your state law what matters.
For example: in Michigan they don’t have front license plates. So if someone from there is visiting another state, they would be ticketed? I don’t think so

 

I've been pulled over with illegal tint and didn't get a ticket. It's about attitude to the officer and what kind of crack down they are doing.

You're in a Tacoma, as long as you don't have straight pipes and mexi-poke rims with no mud guards, you'll be alright.
