    @PennSilverTaco, The Nissan Versa's A/C unit started to work properly after an air filter change a couple months ago. That thing hadn't been changed since my dad bought it new in 2009!

    If you think the filter is the problem, just remove it for a few days. Won't hurt a thing. Vehicles have never had a cab filter til sorta lately.
    Check the temps without it.

    Do you realize that if vent temp is 38f, evap temp is at least 28f or lower? Freezing... thermistor shuts AC down... Your truck ain't gonna blow snowflakes. Are you sure you are not chasing the impossible dream? ;)

    Where's the fan in front of the radiator? I don't remember for sure, but I think the service manual calls for a fan AND 1500 rpm? Not gonna look it up, going to bed. Good luck.
