I wonder if a dealer would be interested in my truck. This is my trucks value in the worst KBB condition. Not bad for a 10 year old truck that had an MSRP of $30,000 in 2008.

 

Picked up the beverages for Carlisle a couple days ago...

 

And now doing a "test load" of the coolers...

 

Can't go wrong with fruit punch Gatorade. That's a Texas heat lifesaver for me.

 

And I've got beer and some snacks for the other Tacoma owners who hooked me up last year!

 

It is raining in Central Bucks right now, and it is supposed to pour here and in Carlisle tomorrow! Cramming a small amount of luggage into a regular cab pickup is rarely fun, so my suitcase will be riding in the bed, protected by this nifty waterproof bag!

 

I made a perfect odometer pattern yesterday!

I think this biker got a bit too close to my truck in traffic (my truck was in Drive; I can manually turn on the backup camera without shifting into reverse)...

What do you all think?

As I was loading up my coolers with ice in the Wawa parking lot, an older woman approached me as I was loading up the coolers and asked if I was going camping or fishing...

I excitedly told her "Neither. I'm going to the Carlisle Truck Nationals, the biggest truck show on the East Coast!

 

I've been stopping here on my way to Carlisle (and the Keystone Diesel Truck Nationals) for about four years now!

 

And it looks like I might have at least a couple storm-free hours at Carlisle after I arrive!

If I didn't have some of the problems that I have, I may very well have joined the Army! And no, Aspergers is not one of the "problems"...

I know a woman, also on the spectrum, who served in the National Guard for a few years. The most glaring issue is that I am on two different kinds of medication (Concerta to help me focus, and Zoloft for my anxiety/OCD). The other issue is that I have double vision. I am okay to drive (obviously), but I don't know how that would affect my ability to fire a gun, and I am definitely precluded from obtaining a pilot's license (I know that there are plenty of things to do in the military without flying an aircraft; just saying).

The reason I bring this up is because my show class is right next to where the Army has set up their booth/display. The soldiers are of course very friendly and hooked all of us Toyota truck owners up with some free Army swag.

Did you know anyone in the Corps who was on the spectrum, or who you suspected might be on the spectrum?
