How ironic. Douchebag is exactly the word I use when the blank pops up with reason for deleting. When I provide an answer to someones question and they are still posting in other threads, for hours later, with no acknowledgement or appreciation for the help given, it's my choice on whether or not I want to leave the information up.

FWIW the "air mix control servomotor" in the link Murphinator posted above, is the blend door actuator.

I changed out the blend door actuator and it didn't do a thing...

So, after my mechanic was unable to find the problem with my A/C on two separate occasions, I finally brought my Taco to the dealer. I get a free Toyota Corolla loaner for however long it takes to fix my truck. I basically told them I didn't want my truck back until the problem was fixed and the A/C was blowing cold across all four vents, so we'll see where this goes...

 

It's been a busy week. I have a job, and was at work at the time, on my phone...

I was also getting ready for a weekend trip to the Carlisle Truck Nationals, and it just slipped my mind. Thank you for providing the link, but shame on you for taking things too personally.

I replaced the air mix servomotor in my truck today and there was no improvement. I finally brought the truck to the dealer...

 

It's just that if I asked for help with something, I would be anxiously checking back every 10 minutes to see if someone had an idea what was going on. I respect people that take time to give me insight into my situation.

James, you should have seen the air coming out of my left vent today...

There was fog coming out of the vent it was so cold!

I'm talking about the A/C in my truck, not the outside temperature...

 

It's been noted on the work order at the dealer...

I'd replace the entire A/C system in my Taco before I bought a new truck!

 

Maybe the compressor; It sometimes clunks on startup..

 

On startup, but only when the truck's been sitting overnight or for a long time.

 

That explains some things. I'm out.

 

No, 99% sure it's the compressor...

My plan is to drive my Taco until at least 2025, at which point I will buy a used Tundra in cash. If my financial situation allows, I will keep the Tacoma and register it as a classic vehicle (it will be 15 years old and eligible by then; no emissions testing required) to cut down on insurance costs. At that point,I will get every dent and ding repaired and possibly get the truck completely repainted...
