I've got another Pioneer head unit for you, but you're gonna have to pay for it this time. I'm currently researching what it might be worth, but I promise it'll be less than $100. It's about 15 years old and it's my aunt's. It was a gift from her friend and I believe she had it installed in her 1996-1998ish Hyundai Tiburon in 2004-2005, but then she totaled that car, took it out, and never bothered to install it because her Jeep had a stereo with an AUX input. Now her 2008 CRV has one too and she doesn't need it.

This Pioneer head unit retailed for about $220 new and has an AM/FM radio and CD player. It does not have aux, USB, or Bluetooth. However, since you don't use an iPod I figured you wouldn't care. I'm thinking I'll sell it to you for $75 or less.

There's a guy working the cash register at the produce place in Doylestown who reminds me of Stuart Doolie from KOTH, except he might actually be even more stupid.

He has is tall, thin, and lanky, and he speaks in a dull deadpan monotone voice. He is probably 17-19 years old, and even has the same hairdo as Doolie. The only major difference is that he's not a redhead!

You might have missed quite a bit! I had to get the evaporator core and expansion valve replaced in my truck! The whole dashboard had to come out and it was almost $1,600!

 

Dang! I am guessing this was the root cause of your AC issues? Were they able to site any particular cause for the failure?

 

Nope. They couldn't even find the leak! They just knew it was leaking from evaporator because they put dye in the refrigerant and it was gushing out of the condensate tube and getting all over the frame rail. The service manager brought me into the garage and showed me this!

It all started when I drove to Carlisle almost two months ago and my A/C got progressively worse the day after I came back. I brought it to the Toyota dealer and they found it to be a pound low on refrigerant. They put dye in the system, and when I got my truck back the next day, the A/C was working perfectly! In fact, the A/C hadn't worked that good since probably 2016!

 

About three weeks later, it was still working fine, but I brought it back and they found the leak within half an hour!

 

That is one STEEP driveway...
