Same here which is why I spent money to get mine repainted. Anxiously waiting to get the truck back .

Tell her to keep her current Sub. They’re good cars. As long as the head gasket doesn’t go. Still, it’s much cheaper than buying new. Especially the first production year!

I will say, though, the 19 Foresters look good. I like the increase in utilitarian features. The rear gate is huge.

The dealer is telling the truth in theory. But at 99,891 I doubt it will matter for 11 miles. A car with 99,001 will sell MUCH quicker on a used car lot than one with 100,001 miles on it. Probably won't bring any more money, but being able to move cars fast is an incentive for dealers. They don't like to get those that sit on the lot for 6 months before they sell. There is no way they can buy it today and not have it roll over 100K before someone buys it. If it were at 99,500 miles then it might make some difference.

How much a salesman will negotiate on price depends on how badly he needs to make a sale. If he only needs 1-2 more sales to qualify for some type of incentive he will make you a good deal. If he has already met his monthly goals, or has no chance to meet it even with one more sale he isn't motivated.

Catch that same salesman 2 months from now, especially after, or right before the 1st snow of the season and it will be even more valuable regardless of miles.

I hate it when local cops chat on my neighborhoods streets. These streets are congested with a shit ton of people's cars.

I feel bad for the garbage truck drivers trying to move around their big truck.

$200 for a power steering flush? That's as ridiculous as paying someone to change the cabin air filter. Lol. No skills need for both.

If you can baste a turkey you have half the skills needed to exchange the power steering fluid; the other half being able pour fluid into a funnel. Just did this on my Taco yesterday. It took 30 minutes tops and half of that was driving down my street, sidewinding curb to curb, to cycle the ps fluid through the system between exchanges.
If you search this forum you’ll be sure to find DIY instructions.

If this is the truck I think it is, then it's a 2005 with an automatic transmission and less than 70K miles!
