yea I figured as much, 1500 is a great price for a 100 series, even if it had a blown motor and a salvage title honestly

Very rarely between kindergarten and 12th grade did I have a teacher who I genuinely hated, but my 7th grade math teacher pretty much tops that short list...

My dad was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island from 2000 to 2002, and I attended 6th and 7th grade at Oak Harbor Middle School (named after the podunk island "city" in which it was located, in Washington).

The Island County School District sucked, but the fact that most of my teachers actually gave a damn about not only doing their jobs but also cared about their students more than made up for it. The one major exception was Mr. Lemeiux (pronounced Lah-Mew and rhymes with the last name of a certain overly romantic French cartoon skunk named "Peppy"; have no idea if I actually spelled it right). I was not even originally supposed to be in this guy's class. I started up in a woman's math class, but on the very first day of seventh grade it was determined that there were too many students in her class.

A bunch of us were moved into Mr. L's class, and I was a bit annoyed but thought nothing of it at first.

Mr. L was kind of a weirdo, in a hippie or rugged outdoorsman sort of way. This was in 2001, and I'm guessing he was somewhere in the range of 45-50 at the time. He was very tall and solidly built, and was definitely in good shape. He had long gray hair that he always kept in a ponytail, and he wore glasses. He drove a 1993 Dodge Ram 350 club cab 4x4 with a camper on the back, and I'm 99.9% sure it was a Cummins diesel. I'm not going to lie; I thought Mr. L's truck was pretty cool, and the reason I remember what year it was is because I casually asked him what he drove once and he rather happily told me, then pointed out the window to his monstrosity of a daily driver...

A rugged outdoorsman type who drives a camper to work? One would think that such a person was pretty neat, but that wasn't the case...

Mr. L seemed to have little patience with any of his students, and in my opinion he was a lousy math teacher. He had no problem handing out pop quizzes that consisted of little more than us students completing as many math problems in 5-10 minutes as we possibly could; I always failed.

Another thing I remember is that Mr. L had an ancient laptop from about 1987 that he occasionally brought into class with him and hooked up to the overhead projector to give us assignments. I immediately knew it was a laptop the first time I saw it, but I was shocked when I learned that laptops were a thing in 1987. The damn thing probably cost more than my Tacoma too!

Anyway, there are three incidents with Mr. L that still just about make my blood boil, though I don't remember exactly what order they happened in...

I believe the first one was this one time in about December 2001; Mr. L left the class unattended briefly, and it literally turned into a classwide game of "Let's pick on Charlie"...

Honestly, the things they said weren't that mean. One asshole classmate kept saying "Come on, call him 'Charlene' instead" because Charlene was a woman's name and the closest sounding to my real name...

It was more about sensory overload than the fact that they were picking on me, and needless to say, I ran out of the classroom practically in tears. My mom volunteered as a tutor in the classroom down the hall, and that's more than likely where I sought shelter. Mr. L did nothing to remedy the situation...

The second and third incidents may actually be one in the same...

Mr. L was aggravated by something I had done (this was back in 2001-2002 so what exactly I'd done escapes my memory), and he grabbed my entire desk (with me sitting in it) and dragged me to the front of the class. He was quite strong so this no issue for him. I had to sit in front of the class for the remainder! Fucking humiliating...

I'm 90% sure this happened the same day as the second incident...

Mr. L was not satisfied with my work in his class, and I would also like to point out that his class was my last before lunch. All I cared about was eating at the point. Mr. L was not satisfied with my work so he abruptly decided to keep me after class without warning. Like I said earlier, my mom tutored kids in a class right up the hall and I always stopped by to say hello on my way to lunch. When I didn't stop by, my mom believed that something was up and headed down the hall to Mr. L's class. As soon as I saw my mom, I started crying and painting Mr. L as a complete dickhead who was trying to make me miss lunch (which he was). Needless to say, my mom gave him a piece of her mind, I was allowed to go to lunch, and Mr. L never pulled a stunt like that again...

I am not going to lie...

I bought Red Dead Redemption II on Amazon partially because I didn't feel like having to show my license to buy it, and there's a GameStop less than 10 minutes from my house.

In September 2013, I preordered GTA 5 and paid cash when I picked it up. I was 24 years old and, I say again, paying CASH. They still carded me.

This is a world where we can download porno for free, and it's worth pointing out that unlike alcohol and tobacco, it's not illegal for minors to possess or play M-rated video games.

They card people to buy video games now? Instead of focusing on more important matters we come up with this.

What’s the big deal? Does taking out and showing your ID to the cashier take so much work?

It is not since I always use CC. However I think the OP point was not having to pull out your ID but they are wanting to check your age to purchase a video game. The world is a very sensitive place now with social media being more out there. Everyone wants to be a victim, put the blame on someone or thing, me too etc.

maybe he was, I mean he did put up a poll to see if people thought it was stupid or not to have to show ID. But either way I’m not going to hold any grudges because they card me. I rather just show them my ID, pay, and get out.

Studies have shown that violent video games do not contribute to actual violence. I’m assuming this unproven connection is why there is a minimum age on some games.

I'm assuming it's because of parental control . A lot of parents back in the day didn't want third kids to play GTA. I was denied back then. Whether it's liked or not , parents own your ass until youre 18 haha

Right now I've got 16-inch aftermarket wheels with Michelins on my truck. The Michelins are a bit worn (but will still pass inspection). Amazingly, I still have the factory 15-inchers sitting in my parents' garage.

I have decided to get a set of rubber-studded snow tires for the rear and some Michelins for the front, and mount them on my factory wheels.

What brand/model do people recommend for factory 5-lug 15-inch wheels?
