Could you put cruise control in my truck?

 

What parts do I need besides the obvious?

 

The use of alcohol and other drugs changes the body in fundamental ways, hence it being characterized as a disease, but it it also acknowledged that it is within the behavioral health realm, and is therefore a "bio-psycho-social" disorder. There are ALMOST ALWAYS some underlying antecedent to use of substances in a pathological way. Coping, masking pain, etc. Unless the individual impaired by the substances addresses the concept of change from multiple perspectives, simply ceasing use rarely results in permanent change...

Does my truck have overdrive?

 

Yes, all cars have some kind of OD, even manuals

On a manual it refers to the higher gears like 5th (4th is probably the 1 to 1 gear on a truck like yours)

On an automatic transmission OD refers to the taller gears, but it also means that the torque converter has the ability to lock completely

 

Typically whatever your last gear is your over drive gear.

 

Sliding the gear shift down to D.
Then slide it left is Overdrive Off.
Basically making the 4 speed transmission a 3 speed transmission.
I use OD Off while towing my boat.
Approx. 1000 lb's with the trailer.

 

Majority of the non-overdrive transmission installations began to end in the late 80's and early 90's. Chrysler held onto their 3-speed non-OD automatics way longer than they should have. You could still get bare bones Chrysler trucks and minivans without OD in the early 2000's.

 

My cousin has a 1998 Honda Civic hatchback, 4-speed auto, no overdrive...

 

Pretty sure on any auto if it has D (with a little box around it) instead of a number its got OD

 

I would check on that, as all 4 speed automatic transmissions that I know of, 4th gear is overdrive.

 

'98 Civic with the auto should have a 0.60 overdrive 4th gear.

 

D3 is od off, D4 is od on.

The last non-OD trans that I know of is K Car's 3 speed trans and some Chevy trucks had 4 speed manuals. Both 1980s long gone.

I saw a thread in which the guy had everything, just didn’t have a place to connect it. He listed everything needed with part numbers, I can’t seem to find it though.

 

My moms first RAV4 was this exact trim in MGM, and 2WD. Does it have the power seat save buttons on the door?
