Some of you may remember that my uncle taught me how to drive stick in his 1991 Toyota pickup. My uncle loves Toyota pickups (specifically Hiluxes and First Gen Tacos), but he also likes Ford Rangers. He's had probably ten Rangers since 1994, and he likes the newer Rangers better than the old Toyota pickups, so he sold the 1991 pickup and replaced it with this...

This is a 2011 Ford Ranger XL long bed 2WD. It has the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed automatic transmission, and 3.73 rear. It was originally a public works truck somewhere in New York, and it only had about 15,000 original miles on it when my uncle bought it a year or two ago! He also only paid $2,500 for the truck! The truck rather beat up despite its low mileage, and the bed was absolutely destroyed, but it ran and drove good, and the A/C was ICE COLD! My uncle got a complete bed from a junkyard and put it on this truck, then repainted it. The wheels are from a Pontiac Firebird. My uncle also installed a new stereo system, consisted of a CD stereo with Bluetooth and new speakers. My uncle only has about $5,000-$6,000 in the truck total, including the bodywork, paint, stereo, and wheels! The truck was originally white, and my uncle painted the truck himself!

 

Today, I met up with @The Hunter to get some supplies for my new (to me) 30-gallon fish tank. Our first stop was The Hidden Reef, where these pictures were taken...
